    Logística Reversa dos Resíduos Sólidos Hospitalares

    The wastes from healthcare services are becoming a difficult problem to solve. This situation highlights the need for alternatives for the management of this issue, aiming to protect society, the use of reverse logistics becomes an option. In the Amazon, this problem is a fact and the need to solve it is urgent. The demands for health services arising from population growth have also generated an increase in the discharge of health service waste. This situation is exacerbated by the absence of projects that facilitate the reuse of the same as well as effective planning in management. The proposal analyzed in this paper addresses the physical, chemical, and microbiological characterization of medical waste generated in various areas of a health care facility and the use of reverse logistics for its disposal. Note the concern with the reduction, generation, and segregation correctly, as well as packaging, identification, and collection, showing that the unit searched generates around 15,907 kg/day of waste class D that can be reused through reverse logistics.

    A Logística Reversa Associada à Gestão Ambiental: Estudo de Caso Aplicado ao Processo de Reparo de Pneus em Manaus/AM

    The reverse logistics is considered one the most conventional area used as a strategically tool for the market and really important for environment management, supported by ISO 14001 criteria rules certification. This article discusses the reverse logistics and environmental management process applied to the tire repair through qualitative methods that relate the level of convergence of the two actions. Considering the steps of implementation of the environmental management system evaluated to the procedures of reverse logistics in order to build an efficiency indicator, based on the regulatory measures that must be apply by any company. The case study used was a Company established at industrial Complex in Manaus (PIM). SWOT (S – strengths; W – weaknesses; O – opportunities; T – threats) method was used to indentify the most threat potential development. The outcomes of this step were analyzed according to the convergence/divergence between the phases and components of reverse logistics and the system components of ISO 14001 (PDCA cycle). As response, the company analyzed showed a low efficiency in the integration between the reverse logistics and the environmental management process. The proposal methodology allowed to define a profile adaptable to any field that you want associate the reverse logistics system and the environmental management through the association of the main links of articulation to the success of the two proposals.
