Item Diagnóstico Sócio-Ambiental do Balneário do Parque 10 por Meio do Igarapé do Mindu em Manaus(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2017) ALMEIDA, Fernando Rodrigues de; DEUS, Ricardo Jorge Amorim deThis study evaluated the environmental quali-quantitative conditions of the Parque 10 de Novembro beach resort, located in the Mindu stream in Manaus, Amazonas. Documentary surveys and analyses of water parameters (pH, electrical conductivity, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, and temperature) were conducted in November 2016 and January 2017. The results indicated restrictions on recreational use due to pollution from solid waste, domestic sewage, and industrial effluents, highlighting the need for public policies to revitalize the area.Item Caracterização dos Parâmetros de Qualidade de Água do Rio Aurá, Belém-Pará: Aplicação de Índice de Qualidade Malasiano (DOE-IQA)(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2019) RIBEIRO, Arthur Araújo; QUARESMA, Sil Franciley dos SantosThe study addresses the characterization of the physical-chemical parameters of water quality in the Aurá River, Belém-Pará, using the Malaysian Water Quality Index (DOE-IQA). The study area comprises the upstream region of the Aurá River, where field collections were carried out to determine the physical-chemical variables. The results indicate a direct relationship between population growth and the discharge of pollutants, with significant changes in color, dissolved oxygen, and ammonia nitrogen concentration, above the limits established by CONAMA Resolution 357/2005 for class II waters. The application of the DOE-IQA allowed the identification of the regions most impacted by the discharge and percolation of leachate.Item Avaliação da Qualidade das Águas Superficiais do Igarapé do Coroado na Cidade de Manaus - Amazonas(Instituto de Ciências Exatas e Naturais, 2019) CRUZ, Rodrigo Silva da; Prof. Dr. Marcelo de Oliveira LimaDisorderly population growth and urban expansion have impacted the environmental quality of water ecosystems. The Igarapé do Coroado in Manaus receives rainwater and untreated sewage, affecting its quality. The study analyzed physicochemical and microbiological parameters to assess environmental degradation. Samples were collected at five strategic points in different periods of the day. Results indicated contamination above the standards established by CONAMA 357/2005, compromising the biota and public health. The study highlights the need for public policies for the recovery and preservation of urban water resources.Item ANÁLISE DE PARÂMETROS FÍSICO-QUÍMICOS DE ÁGUAS DA MICROBACIA DO IGARAPÉ DO QUARENTA NA CIDADE DE MANAUS(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018) MORAES, Wellington de Araujo; NAHUM, Cláudio AlvesThe research analyzes the physical and chemical parameters of water in the Igarapé do Quarenta microbasin in Manaus-AM, evaluating the impact of improper discharge of liquid and solid waste from domestic sewage, garbage, and industrial effluents. Samples were collected from nine strategic points during the rainy season of 2018. The results indicate high pollution levels, exceeding the limits established by CONAMA, especially in areas near industrial and residential waste discharge.Item Análise dos Parâmetros Ambientais das Águas Superficiais do Igarapé do Tarumã-Açu da Cidade de Manaus(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2019) SOUZA, Eicimara Almeida de; LIMA, Marcelo de OliveiraPopulation growth has been generating major impacts and changes in the environment. This study aimed to analyze the environmental parameters of the surface waters of the Tarumã-Açu Igarape stream in the city of Manaus, in view of the growing changes they have been undergoing due to the influence of man on these environments. The research was conducted at the Tarumã-Açu Igarape, located in the Tarumã neighborhood in the west of Manaus. The physicochemical variables were analyzed pH, water temperature, electrical conductivity, turbidity, ammonia nitrogen, dissolved oxygen and bacteriological analyzes (total and thermotolerant coliforms). The results indicated a high level of water pollution, especially in the urban area, with pH values below the recommended, high electrical conductivity, elevated turbidity, and significant presence of coliforms. It is concluded that the Tarumã-Açu Igarape is degraded and needs protection and recovery measures.Item Qualidade de Água do Igarapé do Mestre Chico – PROSAMIM em Manaus/AM(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014) NORMANDO, Margareth Neves; NASCIMENTO, Fernanda Souza doThe city of Manaus is growing fast and chaotic way since the event of the Zona Franca de Manaus (ZFM) and Polo Industrial de Manaus (PIM) in the 70 and 80, causing environmental devastation of the surrounding forest and pollution of its unprecedented urban streams, condemning the quality of its waters and annihilating or expelling and a significant portion of the local fauna and flora. The Programa Social e Ambiental dos Igarapés de Manaus (PROSAMIM) became the most important reaction for the environmental restoration of streams of the Amazon capital. The waters of its streams found themselves not only putrid and formed an immense carpet of garbage containers "pet", continuously collected for public cleaning of municipal power. This work has as main objective to know the water quality of Igarapé Mestre Chico, Programa Social e Ambiental dos Igarapés de Manaus - PROSAMIM, Manaus / AM, and specific objectives to raise the results of analyzes of water from the Igarapé do Mestre Chico in the period January 2011 to January 2012 and show the quality of the waters of the Igarapé do Mestre Chico, contextualizing their indicators and the evolution of their health and urban context. The methodology adopted was based on the literature, both for the study of the subject as now proposed for the compilation of existing data on the water quality of the Igarapé do Mestre Chico. It was found that the samples collected from the point No. 01 (Igarapé Mestre Chico: Viaduct José Claudio de Souza); point No. 02 (Igarapé Mestre Chico: Av. Tarumã - Quarter Square 14); point No. 03 (Igarapé Mestre Chico: Lookout), low dissolved oxygen ranging from 1 to 4.82 mg O2 / L and higher concentrations thermotolerant coliforms (460 - 93x104 NMP / 100mL), biochemical oxygen demand (8,6 - 56.5 mg O2 / L), total phosphorous (0.201 to 3.7 mg P / L) and ammonia (<0.01 to 22.03 mg N / L). The values nitrate (0.1 to 6.81 mg N / L), turbidity (3.48 to 86.0 mg / L) total dissolved solids (6.03 to 240.0 mg / L) lie in the acceptable range of CONAMA Resolution 357/05. These results show that the waters of the Igarapé do Mestre Chico still polluted despite improvements made by PROSAMIM.Item ESTUDO DE CASO DO ABASTECIMENTO D’ÁGUA DO MUNICÍPIO DE SANTARÉM NO PARÁ(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015) ANDRADE, Elen Conceição Leal de; MENDES, Ronaldo Lopes RodriguesThis work addresses the water supply in the municipality of Santarém, Pará, and the various factors that directly affect the population's use of this resource. The main objective was to assess water usage in the supply sector, quantifying and qualifying its various forms to contribute to sustainability indicators. Currently, the municipality is supplied by the Pará Sanitation Company (COSANPA) and the Municipal Supply Secretariat (SEMAB). The research was conducted in three stages: literature review, field survey, and result analysis. Findings indicated that most of the population does not waste water, although the absence of water meters makes accurate consumption measurement difficult. Water quality was rated as average by 21.57% of respondents, while 33% reported frequent water shortages, leading part of the population to rely on private wells. The study concludes that understanding these findings can contribute to future projects aimed at improving water supply in the municipality.
