Item Análise de tempos e métodos para redução da variabilidade de desperdício no processo de produção: estudo de caso(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2018) SILVA, João; SOUZA, MariaThis study investigates the application of time analysis techniques and methods to reduce waste and improve efficiency in production processes. Using a case study in an industrial company, tools such as the Yamazumi diagram and the GBO chart were adopted to identify and minimize variations that result in wasted time and resources. The results demonstrate a 37.5% increase in labor efficiency, reduced operating costs, and improved product quality. In addition, the implementation of lean production practices contributed to a change in organizational culture, encouraging a more structured approach to continuous process optimization. The study concludes that the adoption of analysis and continuous improvement methodologies can bring significant benefits to the industry, recommending future research focused on balancing operations, improving workplace ergonomics, and applying the Kaizen method.Item Modelagem em Rede de Petri do Sistema Automático de Teste para Bateria de Telefone Celular" Subtítulo: "Aplicação em Processos de Manufatura de Baterias de Íon de Lítio(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2018) OLIVEIRA, João Paulo Apoliano; LEITE, Jandecy CabralThe study proposes the modeling of an automatic test system for mobile phone batteries using Petri Nets (PN), aiming to innovate and optimize lithium-ion polymer battery manufacturing processes. The research demonstrates the feasibility of modeling the system as a Discrete Event System (DES), validating the properties of Boundedness, Reinitializability, and Liveness of the PN. The computational tool Visual Object Net ++ v2.7a was used for simulation, showing high efficiency and reliability in automating battery testing and preparation processes.Item Estudo e Avaliação de Máquinas Integradas e Automatizadas para Extração de Óleo Vegetal(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2017) REIS, Ilmar Duarte dos; BRAGA, EduardoThis dissertation proposes the development of an innovative machine, composed of integrated and automated modules, for extracting vegetable oil from seeds such as andiroba. The aim is to improve oil quality, reduce extraction time, eliminate slave labor, and increase productivity. The study covers processes from seed selection to centrifugation, including automated washing, crushing, and transportation, with temperature and humidity control. The proposal seeks to generate employment and income for rural communities while reducing contamination of the final product.Item Automação de Recuperadora de Bauxita para Melhoria da Eficiência Energética(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2015) SILVA, Marcelo Siqueira da; JUNIOR, Petrônio VieiraThis study describes the development of automation for a bauxite reclaimer at Hydro Alumina refinery in Barcarena-PA, aiming to improve the machine's energy efficiency. Automation was achieved through the installation of position sensors and the implementation of automatic operation programming, leading to reduced energy costs, lower maintenance demands, and extended equipment lifespan. The return on investment was estimated at less than three years.Item Implantação de um Sistema Automático para Supervisão do Abastecimento de Água no Processo de Injeção Plástica: Estudo de caso em uma empresa do Polo Industrial de Manaus(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2019) RAMOS, Denis Alexandre; CUNHA, Edinaldo de SousaThis work presents the development of a project focused on the automatic supervision process through a supervisory system dedicated to the water supply in the plastic injection area in a factory environment. The purpose of the project is to avoid lack of water in the plastic injection process. The process engineering concepts employed here are intended to visualize the entire process, identify the problem and its root cause, and propose solutions to eliminate constant occurrences of water shortages. The study of the problem occurs in a factory environment that we can describe as follows: the employee is responsible for manually monitoring the tanks, but performs other activities in parallel, thus the manual monitoring applied is totally ineffective generating several impacting occurrences: unavailability machine costs, rising costs, not meeting goals, compromising the performance of the organization. It is necessary to implement this project because it reduces human interference, minimizes errors, ensures the supervision of the entire water supply system in real time, anticipates decision making in case of any problems with the pumps. As a result of this research, we concluded that with this project, we eliminated 100% downtime of machine injectors due to lack of water, increasing process reliability and reducing total waste of 25.8 tons of raw material per year.
