    The food sector inevitably generates solid waste, such as aluminum, paper, and organic materials. This study analyzes the types of solid waste produced by a snack bar in Manaus and proposes solutions to turn them into profit for entrepreneurs and partners while minimizing environmental impacts. The results show that it is possible to benefit from waste through practical disposal and reuse solutions, even generating financial revenue from the proper handling of such waste

    The study addresses environmental management in the production process, focusing on industrial solid waste generated by the NSLQ LTDA company. The research analyzes the compliance of the company's processes with the ABNT NBR ISO 14001:2004 standard and current environmental legislation. The waste generated, its disposal, and compliance with environmental standards were evaluated, identifying opportunities for improvements and reduction of environmental impacts

    Análise da Coleta Seletiva na Modalidade dos Pontos de Entrega Voluntária (PEV) na Cidade de Manaus/AM

    The study analyzed the management of selective solid waste collection in Manaus/AM, through the voluntary delivery method (PEV), between 2012 and 2014. A comparative analysis of the PEV system with other selective collection methods in the city was conducted, considering qualitative and quantitative aspects. The study concluded that the PEV system has greater market value when associated with organized waste picker actions. However, selective collection in Manaus still faces challenges, mainly due to process discontinuity, despite the existence of extensive legislation on the subject
