Modelagem em Rede de Petri do Sistema Automático de Teste para Bateria de Telefone Celular" Subtítulo: "Aplicação em Processos de Manufatura de Baterias de Íon de Lítio
(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2018) OLIVEIRA, João Paulo Apoliano; LEITE, Jandecy Cabral
The study proposes the modeling of an automatic test system for mobile phone batteries using Petri Nets (PN), aiming to innovate and optimize lithium-ion polymer battery manufacturing processes. The research demonstrates the feasibility of modeling the system as a Discrete Event System (DES), validating the properties of Boundedness, Reinitializability, and Liveness of the PN. The computational tool Visual Object Net ++ v2.7a was used for simulation, showing high efficiency and reliability in automating battery testing and preparation processes.

Aspects of PLC-based PID Controller Applied to Control of Oil Pipeline Located in Coari-Amazonas: Análise de Desempenho e Implementação em Tempo Real
(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2017) VALDA, Luiz H. C.; RAMOS, Marcello P.; CALDERON, Nilsson M.; MEDEIROS, Antônio B. L.; SAVINO, Bruno J.; CAVALCANTE, Caio C. P.; MENEZES, Henrique A. F.; LEITE, Jandecy Cabral
This study discusses the implementation of a PLC-based PID controller to regulate pressure and flow in an oil pipeline located in Coari, Amazonas. The system employs automatic control valves and a SCADA model for real-time monitoring. Three PID tuning methods (Ziegler-Nichols, simple IMC, and Shams-IMC) were compared, with the latter showing superior performance, including lower overshoot (22.57%) and faster response time (21s). The results were validated through MATLAB/Simulink simulations and practical implementation, confirming the effectiveness of the Shams-IMC-PID controller in maintaining stable operational parameters.

Método de Sintonia de Controlador PID de um Sistema de Carregamento de GLP
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018) CALDERÓN JÚNIOR, Nibson Müller; NASCIMENTO, Manoel Henrique Reis
PID controllers are increasingly present in various industrial processes. However, many control loops present tuning failures. This study proposes a methodology for modeling and analyzing industrial plant control systems based on real data, aiming to improve efficiency and optimize plant parameters. The tuning of the PID controller parameters was performed by identifying the dynamic model of the flow control of the LPG loading pump in a propane vessel loading terminal. The plant transfer function was obtained using the Process Reaction Curve method, applying a step disturbance to the manipulated variable (pump rotation). Simulations were conducted using the MATLAB/SIMULINK platform to ensure controller performance, with tuning adjustments made via MATLAB/PID Tuner. The results demonstrated that the adjusted PID controller successfully maintained the controlled variable at predetermined values, optimizing system performance.
