Diagnóstico Sócio-Ambiental do Balneário do Parque 10 por Meio do Igarapé do Mindu em Manaus
(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2017) ALMEIDA, Fernando Rodrigues de; DEUS, Ricardo Jorge Amorim de
This study evaluated the environmental quali-quantitative conditions of the Parque 10 de Novembro beach resort, located in the Mindu stream in Manaus, Amazonas. Documentary surveys and analyses of water parameters (pH, electrical conductivity, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, and temperature) were conducted in November 2016 and January 2017. The results indicated restrictions on recreational use due to pollution from solid waste, domestic sewage, and industrial effluents, highlighting the need for public policies to revitalize the area.

Caracterização dos Parâmetros de Qualidade de Água do Rio Aurá, Belém-Pará: Aplicação de Índice de Qualidade Malasiano (DOE-IQA)
(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2019) RIBEIRO, Arthur Araújo; QUARESMA, Sil Franciley dos Santos
The study addresses the characterization of the physical-chemical parameters of water quality in the Aurá River, Belém-Pará, using the Malaysian Water Quality Index (DOE-IQA). The study area comprises the upstream region of the Aurá River, where field collections were carried out to determine the physical-chemical variables. The results indicate a direct relationship between population growth and the discharge of pollutants, with significant changes in color, dissolved oxygen, and ammonia nitrogen concentration, above the limits established by CONAMA Resolution 357/2005 for class II waters. The application of the DOE-IQA allowed the identification of the regions most impacted by the discharge and percolation of leachate.

Avaliação da Qualidade da Água do Rio Trombetas, Utilizada para o Abastecimento do Município de Oriximiná-PA.
(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2019) CORRÊA, Priscila dos Anjos.; FOLADOR, Adriana Ribeiro Carneiro.
Identifying water quality and verifying its vulnerability to human activity is of paramount importance to public health. This work is a case study that evaluated the quality of the Trombetas River in the stretch comprised of the city of Oriximiná/PA and its relation with the polluting sources at the study site. Surface water samples were collected from four points over four months in 2018. The parameters measured were Temperature, pH, Dissolved Oxygen (DO), Turbidity, Color, Biochemical Oxygen Demand-BOD, Aluminum, Total solids, Total phosphorus and total Nitrogen, total coliforms and E. coli. There were changes in pH, phosphorus, color, and E. coli, especially at the point in front of the port and municipal slaughterhouse, revealing a strong association between organic waste dumping and changes in water quality at the site. The WQI of the monitored section indicates GOOD quality water, with a tendency towards AVERAGE in front of the city.

Avaliação da Qualidade das Águas Superficiais do Igarapé do Coroado na Cidade de Manaus - Amazonas
(Instituto de Ciências Exatas e Naturais, 2019) CRUZ, Rodrigo Silva da; Prof. Dr. Marcelo de Oliveira Lima
Disorderly population growth and urban expansion have impacted the environmental quality of water ecosystems. The Igarapé do Coroado in Manaus receives rainwater and untreated sewage, affecting its quality. The study analyzed physicochemical and microbiological parameters to assess environmental degradation. Samples were collected at five strategic points in different periods of the day. Results indicated contamination above the standards established by CONAMA 357/2005, compromising the biota and public health. The study highlights the need for public policies for the recovery and preservation of urban water resources.
