Item Eco-efficiency in industry and PML plastic, reducing waste stretch film in production(INSTITUTO DE TECNOLOGIA, 2015) VASCONCELOS, Agna de Souza; COSTA, Elis Patrícia Silva; MONTEIRO, Mayna Carolina Alves; MAGALHÃES, Edilson MarquesThis study explores the application of Cleaner Production (CP) tools combined with eco-efficiency in the plastics industry, focusing on waste reduction in stretch film production. A quantitative case study identified inefficiencies in raw material handling and logistics, leading to high costs and environmental impacts. The proposed solution includes installing fixed pipelines and preventive maintenance to reduce virgin material consumption and enhance operational efficiency. The results show that adopting these practices can yield significant cost savings and promote sustainability.Item Análise de tempos e métodos para redução da variabilidade de desperdício no processo de produção: estudo de caso(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2018) SILVA, João; SOUZA, MariaThis study investigates the application of time analysis techniques and methods to reduce waste and improve efficiency in production processes. Using a case study in an industrial company, tools such as the Yamazumi diagram and the GBO chart were adopted to identify and minimize variations that result in wasted time and resources. The results demonstrate a 37.5% increase in labor efficiency, reduced operating costs, and improved product quality. In addition, the implementation of lean production practices contributed to a change in organizational culture, encouraging a more structured approach to continuous process optimization. The study concludes that the adoption of analysis and continuous improvement methodologies can bring significant benefits to the industry, recommending future research focused on balancing operations, improving workplace ergonomics, and applying the Kaizen method.
