UMA REVISÃO SISTEMÁTICA SOBRE A PRODUÇÃO CIENTÍFICA DE 2009 A 2019 COM ÊNFASE NA RELAÇÃO ENTRE EDUCAÇÃO E MEIO AMBIENTE

Abstract

Environmental education and environmental education play an important role in sustainability. Environmental education provided by educational institutions has a major impact on training and preparing the future generation for a green society. The aim of this study is to systematically review the scientific production from 2009 to 2019 that emphasizes the relationship of education and environment. For this, a research was conducted in scientific databases (Scielo and Lilacs). The results show that by emphasizing the importance of environmental awareness for the development of individuals, it was emphasized that environmental subjects should take a position at all levels from elementary to higher education. However, environmental education is still incipient in Brazil, and no systematic efforts are being made to incorporate environmental concepts in any way into the school curriculum. It is concluded that it is urgent to provide the necessary training to both students in school and to people in society. It is stated that if students do not have the proper knowledge and understanding of the causes and effects of these environmental issues, it will be very difficult for them to make correct decisions in the future to reduce and control these problems.
