Industrial Multivariate Explorer: A solution with Matlab for time series mining

Abstract

The design and features of a Matlab application supporting applied research in time series computing are presented. The tool enables visualization of up to eight signals, selection of short time windows, and computation of statistics that aid in static and dynamic modeling. It is an open application that allows the inclusion of new features and is exemplified using real-time series from a 250 MW thermal power plant and simulated data via Simulink.
