This study addresses container logistics as a competitive edge to reduce operational costs in the retail construction material sector along the Santos-Manaus route. With increasing competitiveness and the influence of globalization, companies seek new alternatives to optimize their logistics processes. The research evaluates how strategic supply chain management can contribute to operational efficiency by analyzing cargo movement and the use of the waterway modal to improve distribution logistics.
