    Diagnóstico Sócio-Ambiental do Balneário do Parque 10 por Meio do Igarapé do Mindu em Manaus

    This study evaluated the environmental quali-quantitative conditions of the Parque 10 de Novembro beach resort, located in the Mindu stream in Manaus, Amazonas. Documentary surveys and analyses of water parameters (pH, electrical conductivity, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, and temperature) were conducted in November 2016 and January 2017. The results indicated restrictions on recreational use due to pollution from solid waste, domestic sewage, and industrial effluents, highlighting the need for public policies to revitalize the area.

    Proposta de Plano de Gerenciamento de Resíduos dos Serviços da Clínica Escola de um Centro Universitário Privado na Cidade de Manaus

    The correct management of health services waste is essential to ensure the health of the population and the environment. This work proposes a Health Waste Management Plan (PGRSS) for the School Clinic of a Private University Center in Manaus, aiming to reduce environmental impacts and human health risks. The methodology used was qualitative and descriptive, based on a case study. The PGRSS developed aims to guide the management of health waste, including segregation, conditioning, storage, and final disposal, as well as proposing educational actions for employees and students.

    Vantagens da Aplicação de Material Compósito em Substituição às Ligas Metálicas na Aviação

    This paper shows the advantages of applying composites in aircraft structures, mainly in reducing weight, operating costs, and environmental, social, and economic impact. Through documentary research and experimental comparison between composite and metallic alloy aircraft, the efficiency and performance gains are highlighted, along with the new applications of composite materials in air transport and their influence on the global economy.
