SISTEMA FOTOVOLTAICO NO AEROPORTO INTERNACIONAL DE MANAUS: Análise da Viabilidade Técnica, Econômica e Ambiental de Implantação Usando Simulação Computacional
(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2018) Carlos Gomes Fontinelle; LEITE, Jandecy Cabral
The dissertation analyzes the technical, economic and environmental feasibility of implementing a photovoltaic system at the Manaus International Airport, using computer simulation. The study considers factors such as solar incidence, installation costs, financial return and environmental impacts, demonstrating the potential of solar energy to reduce operating costs and greenhouse gas emissions. The results indicate that the adoption of photovoltaic technology is a sustainable and economically viable alternative for the airport's energy matrix, contributing to energy efficiency and environmental preservation.

Modelo de Simulação Computacional para Balanceamento de Linhas de Produção das Empresas Cerâmicas de São Miguel do Guamá: Um Estudo de Caso
(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2013) SILVA, Denilson Costa da; ICHIHARA, Jorge de Araújo
This work presents a computer simulation model to address the production line balancing problem in a red ceramic factory in São Miguel do Guamá. The study includes a literature review on discrete event systems, balancing methods, and modeling and simulation concepts. The methodology follows the method proposed by Chwif (1999), covering design, implementation, and analysis. The developed model describes the current state of the process, identifies bottlenecks, and proposes improvements through scenarios, with the third scenario showing the best results. The main contributions include the practical application of simulation in a local industry and the provision of a tool to enhance production processes.

Simulação e Otimização do Processo de Destilação Atmosférica de Petróleo
(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2016) LISBOA, Síntia Maria Pinto; BATISTA, Clauderino da Silva
Petroleum atmospheric distillation is an essential refining process with complex characteristics due to multiple system variables. This study evaluated the behavior of key variables in the distillation process using Petro-SIM software simulation and meta-heuristic optimization techniques. Operational variables such as kerosene and diesel reflux and column top temperature were analyzed. The results identified the top temperature as the most significant variable, and applying genetic algorithms and simulated annealing maximized diesel flow to 1281.7 m³/d while maintaining product quality.

SIMULAÇÃO COMPUTACIONAL NO AUXÍLIO À TOMADA DE DECISÃO NOS PROCESSOS INDUSTRIAIS: UTILIZANDO A FERRAMENTA TECNOMATIX PLANT SIMULATION 9.0
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011) SANTOS, Eliton Smith dos; QUARESMA, João Nazareno Nonato
Currently, there are numerous automated production processes that are becoming increasingly complex due to the demands of the modern world. These processes require increasingly powerful engineering tools for efficient modeling and analysis. In this context, the computational tool Tecnomatix Plant Simulation 9.0 emerges as a means of optimizing industrial production. This study presents the application of this tool in modeling and simulating a production line, highlighting its relevance for production management by reducing costs and maximizing profits. The approach is demonstrated through a case study in the electronics industry, analyzing process efficiency and proposing improvements for time and resource optimization.
