Análise de Viabilidade Econômico-Financeira e de Maturidade para Implementação de Conceitos Indústria 4.0
(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2025) TAHER, Thyago Mileo; NASCIMENTO, Manoel Henrique Reis
The adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies and concepts has proven to be an effective strategy for increasing the competitiveness of industrial companies. However, many organizations face challenges in assessing both the economic-financial feasibility and the organizational maturity level required for adopting these technologies in an integrated and simplified manner. This dissertation proposes a model that combines Return on Investment (ROI) analysis with the TOE (Technology, Organization, and Environment) framework, providing a holistic view of the feasibility of transitioning to Industry 4.0. The model was applied to an electronics manufacturing company in the Manaus Industrial Hub, which had already started its technological migration but without using structured evaluation methods. Results showed highly positive financial returns and adequate organizational maturity, confirming the feasibility of implementation. The developed model is concluded to be simple, efficient, and applicable on a large scale, providing industries with a solid foundation for decision-making in digital transformation.

Análise dos Desafios na Transição para Indústria 4.0: Um Estudo sobre a Integração de Sistemas de Custeio em Ambientes Automatizados
(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2025) SILVA, Maeli Oliveira da; MARINELLI FILHO, Nelson
This study analyses the challenges faced during the transition from traditional costing systems to absorption costing systems in the context of Industry 4.0. By applying heat maps to industrial costing spreadsheets of electronic components, inconsistencies were identified that reflect broader structural barriers of industrial digital transformation. The methodology relied on data visualization techniques to detect null and zero values at different stages of the migration process. The results revealed seven critical categories of inconsistencies: interoperability issues, complexity in indirect cost allocation, implementation and maintenance costs, workforce training, real-time data management, compliance and security, and adaptation to Industry 4.0 dynamics. It was concluded that such inconsistencies represent significant barriers to transition, especially in highly automated industries. The study also proposes a framework for assessment and mitigation, contributing to the literature on digital transformation in the Brazilian industrial context.

This study investigated the barriers that hinder the implementation of the Internet of Things (IoT) in the security and aging tests of the cellular telephony sector in the Manaus Industrial Complex, considering the transformative potential of IoT for process optimization, increased efficiency, and improved real-time monitoring. The research was motivated by the observation that despite the technological advances and promises associated with IoT, its adoption in this specific context has been limited by technical, regulatory, and structural barriers. A systematic literature review combined with the Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) method, supported by field experts, was conducted. The results revealed that the most influential barriers were the shortage of qualified professionals, lack of regulation, and integration complexity, while interoperability and technical standards appeared more as secondary consequences. Based on these findings, a conceptual framework was proposed, providing a clearer understanding of the existing challenges and offering strategic guidance for overcoming them.

(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2025) CRUZ JUNIOR, Davi Clementino; VIEIRA JUNIOR, Milton
The manufacture of electronic products has evolved from wire assembly to SMT (Surface Mount Technology), characterized by component miniaturization and high-speed automation. This dissertation aims to present a systematic roadmap for the efficient implementation of SMT assembly lines during the printed circuit board (PCB) assembly stage. The work covers Design for Manufacturing (DFM), assembly machine programming, and Start Up. An applied methodology is adopted, including theoretical review, equipment analysis, proposal of a best practices checklist, and a case study conducted in a company located in the Manaus Industrial Hub. The results show that proper implementation and balancing of SMT lines can significantly enhance productivity and reduce inefficiencies.

Uso da Ferramenta OEE para Otimizar o Processo de Fabricação de Placas de Circuito Impresso no Processo SMT
(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2025) MEDEIROS, Gelson Ricardo Martins; SANTOS, Eliton Smith dos; ALMEIDA, Luiz Fernando Correia de Almeida
This dissertation addresses the application of the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) metric in the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) process to optimize production efficiency in a company located in the Manaus Industrial Hub. The study identifies the main losses affecting the printed circuit board assembly line, classifies these losses, and proposes improvement actions based on the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodology. The methodology includes a case study, data collection from production lines, expert interviews, and practical application of performance indicators. The results demonstrate that the use of the OEE tool, combined with corrective and preventive measures, can enhance SMT line efficiency and significantly reduce losses related to downtime, speed, and quality.

DESENVOLVIMENTO DE UM SISTEMA DE MONITORAMENTO DE PARADAS DE MÁQUINAS EM LINHAS DE PRODUÇÃO APLICADO AO PROCESSO DA INDÚSTRIA 4.0
(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2025) SILVA, Valdir Francelino da; SILVA, Simone da
In today's industry, optimizing production requires efficient control of machine downtime. Considering the example of a mobile charger factory, where frequent downtimes occur due to equipment failures, it is essential to implement a system that provides real-time data to support decision-making. In this context, this project addresses the issue of frequent machine stoppages in production lines, a significant challenge for operational efficiency in modern industry. The research highlights the importance of a monitoring system that can reduce downtime and optimize production, with the central objective of developing a robust system that provides realtime data on the condition of machines, enabling quick intervention and preventive maintenance. To achieve this objective, methods such as the implementation of intuitive dashboards and the analysis of key performance indicators, such as MTBF Mean Time Between Failures and MTTR - Mean Time to Repair, will be employed. This work aims to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed system by reducing machine stoppages and improving overall operational efficiency, contributing to an increase in OEE Overall Equipment Effectiveness, leading to more stable and reliable production.

The production of reflective strips requires high precision and efficiency, especially for traffic signage and automotive applications. However, traditional drying and curing methods for chemical layers, such as paints and varnishes, rely on long outdoor periods, compromising product quality and reducing productivity. This study proposes the development of an integrated hardware and software model that allows automatic detection of the curing level, using controlled light radiation sources to accelerate the drying process and ensure greater uniformity. The research includes the creation of a controlled environment prototype and a Human-Machine Interface (HMI) monitoring system to optimize industrial production. The theoretical foundation is based on the application of ultraviolet (UV) photopolymerization technology, aiming to improve product quality, production efficiency, and process sustainability.
