    Melhor aproveitamento da energia elétrica na indústria

    This paper presents a proposal for an industrial energy management system focused on low-cost actions, based on measurement, recording, control, and automation. Through a case study in a plastics industry located in the Industrial Pole of Manaus, it was possible to demonstrate energy savings of up to 35.5%, using the Measurement and Verification (M&V) methodology. The study highlights the importance of integrated management as a tool for energy efficiency, with positive impacts on productivity, cost, and sustainability.

    Previsão da Eficiência de uma Usina Geradora de Energia Elétrica

    The study examines the efficiency reduction of motors in an electricity-generating plant from 2001 to 2013, forecasting efficiency up to 2020. Methods such as exponential, logarithmic, linear, and ARIMA were applied using tools like Excel and SPSS20. Results indicated consistency across models, demonstrating the effectiveness of simple solutions for long-term forecasts. The research underscores the significance of forecasting for strategic and operational planning in thermoelectric plants.

    Redução do consumo de energia elétrica em Manaus através de medidas de eficiência energética em climatização industrial

    The article evaluates the impacts of reducing electricity consumption in a company at the Manaus Industrial Hub (PIM) through the optimization of energy efficiency (EE) in industrial air conditioning systems, using Fuzzy Logic as a basis. Measures such as replacing low-efficiency air conditioners with high-efficiency equipment, controlling external heat sources, checking pipeline losses, and adjusting thermal comfort temperature were implemented. The results showed significant reductions in energy consumption and contracted demand, demonstrating the economic and technical feasibility of the adopted measures.

    Advantages of applying composite material to replace metal alloys in aviation

    Composite materials were used by early agricultural societies and their adoption has been driven by military technological needs. High fuel costs and strict environmental regulations have increased the demand for this technology in the civil sector. This article presents the application advantages of composites in aircraft structures, especially regarding weight reduction, lower operational costs, and environmental, social, and economic impacts. The research includes literature review, experimental studies, and comparisons with traditional metal alloys.

    Aspectos Importantes na Utilização de Bombas Centrífugas em Velocidade Variável para a Redução do Consumo de Energia

    The study examines the use of variable speed centrifugal pumps as a solution to reduce energy consumption in water supply systems. It covers theoretical principles, technological aspects, and economic feasibility, employing frequency inverters to adjust flow according to demand. Two case studies illustrate the method's effectiveness: parallel pump operation and tank level control. Results show significant energy savings with short financial payback, emphasizing the need for technical and economic analysis for implementation.
