Avaliação da Distorção Harmônica Total de Tensão no Ponto de Acoplamento Comum Industrial Usando o Processo KDD Baseado em Medição
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018) OLIVEIRA, Edson Farias de; TOSTES, Maria Emília de Lima
In recent decades, the transformation industry has introduced increasingly faster and more energy-efficient products for residential, commercial, and industrial use. However, these loads, due to their non-linearity, have significantly contributed to increased voltage harmonic distortion levels, according to Power Quality indicators. This thesis proposes a procedure based on the Knowledge Discovery in Databases (KDD) process to identify impactful loads on voltage harmonic distortions at the Point of Common Coupling (PCC). The methodology involves data collection and analysis with data mining techniques such as Decision Tree and Naïve Bayes applied to data collected by quality meters installed at the main loads and the PCC of an industrial consumer. The process includes data collection, cleaning, transformation, and evaluation steps. The results showed that the KDD process is applicable in analyzing Total Harmonic Distortion of Voltage, allowing the identification of the most impactful loads, with the most significant being the seventh current harmonic of the air conditioning units.

Harmonic Impact analysis coming from the manufacturing processes of a Eletroeletrônica Industry Using KDD and Decision Trees
(INSTITUTO DE TECNOLOGIA, 2015) NOGUEIRA, Rildo de Mendonça; OLIVEIRA, Edson Farias de; SILVA, Waterloo Ferreira da; SANTANA, Ádamo L.; TOSTES, Maria Emília de Lima; SOARES, Thiago Mota; Profa. Dra. Maria Adrina Paixão de Souza da Silva.
The study analyzes the impact of harmonic distortions generated by non-linear loads (computers, notebooks, and tablets) on the electrical grid of an electronics industry in Manaus. Using the KDD (Knowledge Discovery in Databases) methodology and decision trees, data were collected over a week at different points in the production process. The results identified that the 5th and 7th order harmonics, originating from the tablet production line, contributed the most to the total harmonic distortion of voltage (THDv) at the common coupling point (PCC). The decision tree technique proved effective in classifying and prioritizing distortion sources, aiding in decision-making for impact mitigation.

This paper presents an analysis of harmonic current impacts in an industrial facility in the Manaus Industrial Zone using Naive Bayes classification, a data mining technique. The study measures total harmonic distortion (THDv) and identifies which production processes contribute most to power quality issues, particularly due to non-linear loads like switch-mode power supplies. The methodology includes power quality measurements and statistical analysis with dedicated software.

OTIMIZAÇÃO DO TEMPO DE TESTE FUNCIONAL DE PLACA DE CIRCUITO IMPRESSO MONTADA PARA COMPUTADOR PESSOAL
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012) OLIVEIRA, Edson Farias de; BLANCO, Cláudio José Cavalcante
The increasing competitiveness among companies in the same sector has made continuous process optimization essential to reduce costs. This study evaluates the time involved in the functional testing phase of motherboards produced in the Industrial Pole of Manaus and proposes improvements for optimization. A system for image capture was developed to analyze idle times, along with test devices and a proprietary Linux-based test system, replacing the previous system that depended on foreign suppliers. Percentage gains were demonstrated through four optimization proposals: unifying tests, performing simultaneous tests on two boards, replacing the test system, and automating the test device. The results obtained after implementing these improvements were positive, reinforcing the importance of applying scientific methodologies combined with innovation to optimize production processes.
