Physical-chemical and electrical properties of the oil were evaluated and compared with technical standards (ABNT NBR 15422) and commercial oils (BIOTEMP®, ENVIROTEMP® FR3™). Results indicated that andiroba oil has suitable viscosity and density, is biodegradable, and non-corrosive. However, specific treatments are required to adjust parameters such as water content and dielectric strength. It was concluded that andiroba oil is a viable candidate for transformer applications, leveraging renewable resources from the Amazon.Item Avaliação da Variação das Frações Mássicas das Fibras nas Propriedades Mecânicas do Compósito Poliéster Reforçado por Fibras de Sisal(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2013) EL BANNA, Wassim R.; COSTA, Delbson S. da; GILDO, Camila C. R.; LOPES, Raimundo Valdan P.; PINTO, Wagner B.; LEITE, Jandecy Cabral; FUJIYAMA, Roberto T.; QUARESMA, João Nazareno NonatoThe study evaluated the influence of sisal fiber mass fractions (1.41% to 9.41%) on the mechanical properties of polyester matrix composites. Specimens were fabricated by manual molding and subjected to tensile tests according to ASTM D 638. Results showed that the 5.41% mass fraction achieved the highest tensile strength (22.23 MPa), outperforming other natural fibers. Beyond this fraction, strength decreased due to fiber-matrix interface saturation. The manufacturing method proved viable for producing sustainable and low-cost materials.Item Diagnóstico de Gerenciamento Municipal dos Resíduos Sólidos da Construção Civil: Abordagem Ambiental no Município de Itacoatiara-AM(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011) LIMA, Adelaneide Gomes; NAHUM, Cláudio; DEUS, Ricardo; FORNARO, Adalgiza.; Não especificado no documento. The expansion of the construction sector in the municipality of Itacoatiara (AM) has led to a significant increase in the generation of solid waste, which is often deposited in irregular places.
