(Instituto de Ciências Exatas e Naturais, 2020) CARDOSO, Erika D’Ávila; MONTEIRO, Waldinei Rosa
Environmental management is a continuous and adaptive process through which an organization determines its objectives, goals, and strategies related to environmental protection and the safety of internal employees, customers, and the community. This work aims to raise awareness based on the relationship of environmental responsibility to minimize organizational impacts on the lives of employees in a food industry company. The study examined the perception of employees of a sushi chain about their social responsibility in the activities they perform, conducting a bibliographic survey, visits to research sites, application of questionnaires, and lectures. The results revealed that although there is a certain awareness of the negative impacts caused by solid and liquid waste, there is a gap between being aware of the problem and being sensitized to promote behavioral changes aiming at higher environmental quality and company profitability.

The groups of children, under the coordination of the daycare center teachers and coordinators, continued to plant lettuce, cabbage, chives and chicory seedlings and seedlings. During this action, questions related to the physical, chemical and biological aspects, and verification of the general state of the soil found in the area of the beds were raised, with the need to use organic matter (compost and manure) to improve the quality of the vegetables. In the classroom, the dates and times for watering the beds were planned, and distributed among groups of children. After planting, the vegetables were harvested, prepared and served to the children at lunch. After the planting activity, the questionnaire B was given to the teachers of the participating classes, which listed the activities that the children liked most and what they did not like regarding the care of the vegetable garden. The amount of solid waste is a serious environmental problem, and it is necessary to take into consideration that the planet is a closed system, meaning that there is no exchange of materials with the outer environment and, therefore, the waste is the result of a process of transformation of nature. The production of waste is inevitable, from human activities waste is generated in two ways: as an inherent part of the production process and also when the useful life of products ends. There are also wastes that can be highly contaminating, such as Healthcare Waste (RSS), called “hospital waste”. This study aimed to disseminate in the Hospital and Emergency Room “Dr. João Lúcio Pereira Machado” in Manaus (AM), educational technology for environmental health, from the production of a precursor, didactic, illustrative tool in the form of a booklet for employees and users of this hospital. We intend with this material to work collaboratively with the Center for Permanent Health Education (NEPS), helping to implement improvements in addressing the issue of waste generated in the unit, prevention of accidents with sharps to improve management and responsible disposal of waste of health services waste, and thus contribute to the Environment and Public Health.
