This study examines the assembly process of printed circuit boards for notebooks in a company located in the Manaus Industrial Hub, applying Lean Manufacturing principles. The main goal was to identify and implement improvements to reduce waste, increase productivity, and enhance product quality. Through time-motion studies and value stream mapping, bottlenecks such as excessive waiting time and inadequate manual handling were identified. The proposed solution involved automating functional tests (FCT) with the development of a new JIG, leading to significant gains: a 12% increase in production capacity, elimination of 14 workstations, and improved quality, with the FPY (First Pass Yield) index reaching 98%.

Aumento da Produtividade: Utilizando a Metodologia Six Sigma e Lógica Fuzzy, um Estudo de Caso em uma Empresa do Pólo Industrial de Manaus – PIM.
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011) FERREIRA, Marcela Seixas.; SILVA, Orlando Fonseca.
This study uses Six Sigma methodology in order to increase the productivity of the Line of LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) in a factory in the Pólo Industrial de Manaus - PIM and a fuzzy inference system to measure the increase of productivity, where we identified several parameters based on the Six Sigma methodology. Among which, according to the degree of relevance of specialists in this study, we can highlight: waste, production capacity and time study. Emphasizing further that the proposed system is of great importance to practitioners and researchers of production management, who want results that reduce costs and therefore increase profits of the organization.

Estudo de Caso da Aplicação do Lean Manufacturing no Processo de Fabricação de Indústria Moveleira na Região Metropolitana de Belém
(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2018) TEIXEIRA, Marcus Paulo Coelho; BRAGA, Eduardo de Magalhães
This paper aims to demonstrate the applicability of lean manufacturing in a furniture industry in the metropolitan region of Belém, which has several chronic problems related to non-productivity, especially because it is small and family-based. Lean manufacturing, as a production philosophy, combats the waste of people, processes, and products (3P's). This study analyzes its tools and applications in production processes, showing through an established method the problems related to low productivity, waste, their causes, and possible solutions. The results highlight the viability of lean manufacturing, with a 60% reduction in handling waste and a productivity increase of around 40%.

Aplicação do Indicador Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) para Análise do Desempenho Global da Capacidade Produtiva de uma Indústria Madeireira
(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2019) SILVA, Adauto Correa da; OLIVEIRA, Kleber Bittencourt
The industrial capacity of companies has been increasingly required with the competitiveness of capital-intensive companies. Many indicators have been used to measure productivity in the manufacturing industries, as the OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), in the national literature referred to as "Eficácia Global de Equipamentos", the indicator analyses 3 parameters (availability, performance and quality), giving support to make decisions in all sectors of the production chain. With this, a bibliographic survey was made to identify the limitations of the research and identify the variables and data that would be collected in the three parameters of the indicator. The research also discussed the application of the indicator in a timber industry, explaining all its points of application, as well as collecting and analyzing the data, identifying bottlenecks in the productive process in any sector of the production chain. The research concludes with proposed solutions to the identified problems, including problems from outside the manufacturing sector, proving the overall breadth of the indicator.

Simulação Computacional no Auxílio à Tomada de Decisão nos Processos Industriais: Utilizando a Ferramenta Tecnomatix Plant Simulation 9.0
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011) SANTOS, Eliton Smith dos; QUARESMA, João Nazareno Nonato
The research presents the use of computer simulation as a tool to aid decision-making in industrial processes, using the Tecnomatix Plant Simulation 9.0 software. The study was applied in a production line of 21" TV sets at the Manaus Industrial Hub, aiming to evaluate the line's performance and propose improvements. The simulation allowed the identification of bottlenecks, the balancing of the production line, and the optimization of resource usage, resulting in a 6.6% increase in daily production. The tool proved effective for preventive and predictive analysis, enabling virtual experiments without interfering with real production.

Influência de Incrustações na Eficiência de Trocadores de Calor: O Caso da Perda de Produtividade em Hidrelétricas
(Universidade Federal do Pará (UFPA), 2011) LOPES, Antonio Dimael de Almeida; MACÊDO, Emanuel Negrão
Heat exchangers are widely used in industrial processes, including hydroelectric plants, where they are employed to control the temperature of systems that generate heat during energy production. This work evaluates the influence of fouling on the efficiency of heat exchangers, focusing on productivity losses in hydroelectric plants. The study proposes the application of an automated mechanical cleaning process to eliminate or minimize the loss of efficiency in heat exchangers in the cooling system of hydraulic generators. The research was conducted at the Balbina Hydroelectric Plant, where the impacts of fouling on thermal efficiency and plant productivity were analyzed. The results indicate that automated cleaning significantly reduces maintenance shutdowns, increasing system efficiency and productivity.

ANÁLISE DA CAPACIDADE PRODUTIVA EM UMA MONTADORA DE MOTOCICLETAS UTILIZANDO SIMULAÇÃO COMPUTACIONAL
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018) LEITE JUNIOR, Jandecy Cabral; QUARESMA, João Nazareno Nonato
Before the current market scenario, manufacturing and services companies need increasingly invest in tools or technologies that provide cost savings and increase in gross revenue to remain competitive. The analysis of productive capacity through computer simulation and industrial performance indicators allows you to optimize existing processes and consequently the costs. This paper aims to carry out a computer simulation of the production capacity in a motorcycle manufacturer, using the software (Tecnomatix Plant Simulation), to calculate process performance indicators, and to propose improvements with the purpose of obtaining an increase in installed production capacity. The methodology used in this research is based on discrete-event simulation, generating capacity gauge, crossing time and balancing chart to evaluate the performance of the assembly of motorcycles. The indicators of efficiency and productivity were calculated for specific formulas for an analysis of the process. The results achieved after the improvements implemented in the production provided an increase in productive capacity in 25% and an increase in the levels of efficiency and productivity of 4.4 percent and 2.74 percent respectively. It can be concluded that this work has resulted in a reduction of costs and increase of gross revenue without the need of high investments.
