Item Estimativa do Número de Casos de Tuberculose no Município de Capanema/PA para o Ano de 2015 Utilizando o Método das Médias Móveis(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2016) BEZERRA, Camily Murrieta Vasconcelos Oliveira; SILVA, José Geraldo Gonçalves da; BATISTA, Clauderino da Silva; LEITE, Jandecy CabralThe study employed the Simple Moving Average Method to estimate the number of tuberculosis cases in the municipality of Capanema/PA in 2015, based on monthly data from 2003 to 2014. The analysis revealed that the 7-period moving average yielded the lowest mean squared error, predicting approximately 20 cases for the first half of 2015. The results underscore the importance of statistical tools for public health policy planning, particularly in regions with high tuberculosis incidence, such as the Amazon.Item MERCÚRIO EM POPULAÇÃO RIBEIRINHA DO MUNICÍPIO DE BENJAMIN CONSTANT, REGIÃO DE FRONTEIRA, AMAZONAS, BRASIL(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017) CASTRO, Simone Pinto de; LIMA, Marcelo de OliveiraThe study assessed mercury exposure in a riverside community in the Amazon, analyzing fish and hair tissue. The results show that, although mercury concentrations in fish are within the limits established by the WHO and ANVISA, levels in humans indicate exposure above the reference values.Item Logística Reversa dos Resíduos Sólidos Hospitalares(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014) ROCHA, José Mauro Pinto da; FENZEL, NorbertThe wastes from healthcare services are becoming a difficult problem to solve. This situation highlights the need for alternatives for the management of this issue, aiming to protect society, the use of reverse logistics becomes an option. In the Amazon, this problem is a fact and the need to solve it is urgent. The demands for health services arising from population growth have also generated an increase in the discharge of health service waste. This situation is exacerbated by the absence of projects that facilitate the reuse of the same as well as effective planning in management. The proposal analyzed in this paper addresses the physical, chemical, and microbiological characterization of medical waste generated in various areas of a health care facility and the use of reverse logistics for its disposal. Note the concern with the reduction, generation, and segregation correctly, as well as packaging, identification, and collection, showing that the unit searched generates around 15,907 kg/day of waste class D that can be reused through reverse logistics.Item Proposta de Mobilização na Escola para Atenção à Preservação ao Meio Ambiente e à Saúde(Instituto de Ciências Exatas e Naturais, 2019) DIAS, Maria José Alves da Silva; LIMA, Marcelo de OliveiraThe school environment is considered an extremely privileged space for the development of environmental and health education and prevention. This study aimed to mobilize a proposal at the Brigadeiro Camarão School as a strategy to raise awareness of the care that everyone should take to the environment and to reduce the incidence of arboviruses. This research took place through the development of lectures on various diseases transmitted by Aedes aegypti, solid waste, environment, and environmental education. In addition, a literature search was performed. Research has shown that arboviruses are a serious public health problem and have difficulty in their environmental control in society, and that prevention requires greater community participation in measures to combat transmitting mosquitoes. Through work such as this, it is possible to prevent diseases linked by vectors and consequently contribute to improving the quality of life of the individual and the environment. It is suggested that the school invest in continuing education with regard to addressing the issue of environmental education.Item Saúde e Meio Ambiente: Uma Abordagem Acerca do Saneamento Básico e Seu Impacto na Saúde Pública do Município de Manaus/AM(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019) RODRIGUES, Sara Leão; BRASIL, Davi do Socorro BarrosThe present study focuses on the relationship between health and the environment, addressing the basic sanitation situation in the city of Manaus, verifying the main variables and determinants that influence the health-disease process, such as water supply, sanitation facilities, and garbage collection. The study correlates the occurrence of diseases related to inadequate basic sanitation and its impact on public health, analyzing the incidence of diseases and health issues arising from this inadequacy. The research is bibliographic and documentary, using qualitative and quantitative methods, with electronic data collection from official databases such as DATASUS, IBGE, and SNIS. The objective is to verify the urban public health situation in Manaus, from the perspective of environmental sanitation conditions, analyzing public health expenditures, and proposing solutions to the main problems detected.Item Resíduos de Serviços de Saúde e o Uso de Tecnologia Educacional para o seu Enfrentamento: Uma Contribuição para o Meio Ambiente e a Saúde Pública(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2020) MACEDO, Jacqueline Cabral; OLIVEIRA, Edivaldo Herculano Corrêa deThe amount of solid waste is a serious environmental problem, and it is necessary to take into consideration that the planet is a closed system, meaning that there is no exchange of materials with the outer environment and, therefore, the waste is the result of a process of transformation of nature. The production of waste is inevitable, from human activities waste is generated in two ways: as an inherent part of the production process and also when the useful life of products ends. There are also wastes that can be highly contaminating, such as Healthcare Waste (RSS), called “hospital waste”. This study aimed to disseminate in the Hospital and Emergency Room “Dr. João Lúcio Pereira Machado” in Manaus (AM), educational technology for environmental health, from the production of a precursor, didactic, illustrative tool in the form of a booklet for employees and users of this hospital. We intend with this material to work collaboratively with the Center for Permanent Health Education (NEPS), helping to implement improvements in addressing the issue of waste generated in the unit, prevention of accidents with sharps to improve management and responsible disposal of waste of health services waste, and thus contribute to the Environment and Public Health.Item Resíduos de Serviços de Saúde e o Uso de Tecnologia Educacional para o seu Enfrentamento: Uma Contribuição para o Meio Ambiente e a Saúde Pública(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2020) MACEDO, Jacqueline Cabral; OLIVEIRA, Edivaldo Herculano Correa deThe amount of solid waste is a serious environmental problem, and it is necessary to take into consideration that the planet is a closed system, meaning that there is no exchange of materials with the outer environment and, therefore, the waste is the result of a process of transformation of nature.
