Sistema de Extração de Conhecimentos de Redes Neurais
(INSTITUTO DE TECNOLOGIA, 2015) AZEVEDO, Manoel S. Santos; NEVES, Cleonor C. das; CASTRO, Adriana Rosa G; LEITE, Jandecy Cabral.; Prof. Dr. Carlos Tavares da Costa Júnior
This paper proposes a system for extracting knowledge from neural networks aided by fuzzy logic, emphasizing the generation of a rule bank representing process behavior. The system enables the construction of models for control or information retrieval, particularly in cases where traditional modeling is unfeasible. The approach employs neuro-fuzzy networks to extract knowledge distributed across network connections.

Keystroke-Based Biometric Authentication in Mobile Devices: Autenticação Biométrica Baseada em Dinâmica de Digitação em Dispositivos Móveis
(INSTITUTO DE TECNOLOGIA, 2011) URTIGA, Edma Valleria Cunha; MORENO, Edward David; Prof. Dr. Carlos Tavares da Costa Júnior
This paper presents a model for biometric authentication based on keystroke dynamics in mobile devices. The model captures the time taken to press and release keys when a user types a password, comparing this information with previously stored data. Using the Euclidean distance method, the results achieved were a False Acceptance Rate (FAR) of 12.97% and a False Rejection Rate (FRR) of 2.25%. The study demonstrates that keystroke dynamics can be an effective tool for enhancing security in mobile authentication systems.

System modeling is increasingly used in academia to estimate team size, effort, software size, and total project cost. This article proposes a model based on Use Case Points (UCP), supported by techniques such as LOC, COCOMO, and Function Points. The model aims to assist managers in negotiations with clients, improving cost and time estimation. The model proved effective in simulating changes in system requirements and automatically calculating updated estimates.

Uso de Algoritmo Cultural com uma Nova Abordagem Memética por meio do Simulated Annealing para o Problema do Caixeiro Viajante
(INSTITUTO DE TECNOLOGIA, 2014) SILVA, Deam J. A.; SILVA, Joaquim A. L.; AFFONSO, Carolina M.; OLIVEIRA, Roberto C. L.; MAGALHÃES, Edilson Marques
The paper proposes a hybrid algorithm combining Cultural Algorithms (CAs) and Genetic Algorithms (GAs), with local search via simulated annealing and 2-opt/3-opt heuristics, to solve the Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP). The aim is to overcome premature convergence and local optima traps common in traditional metaheuristics. Experiments with 442 and 532-city instances showed that the approach achieved solutions close to the known optimum, outperforming other methods in the literature.

Estudo para Implantação do Gerenciamento Eletrônico de Documentos – GED no Âmbito do Instituto de Criminalística do Amazonas
(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2017) SEGUNDO, André Luís Bessa; BATISTA, Clauderino da Silva
The study proposes the implementation of Electronic Document Management (GED) in the Forensic Institute of Amazonas, aiming to replace manual control with a digital system. The goal is to reduce issues such as document duplication, information loss, and delays by centralizing the document flow. The methodology included exploratory analysis of sectors, problem identification, and improvement suggestions. Expected results include increased efficiency, cost reduction, and better document control.

With the advent of Artificial Intelligence, computers can make appropriate decisions reliably using Machine Learning techniques, such as an Artificial Neural Network. This ability has a wide range of applications, including in the sales process, it is possible to optimize sales performance and make it easier for managers to decide the future directions of the organization. The present work aimed to apply an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) to detect open sales opportunities for Soprojetos® company, which despite having a large amount of data recorded in the RDStation Marketing platform, still does not perform predictive analysis. With the support of Python Keras tools and the RDStation Marketing platform, it was possible to elaborate an algorithm to create an Artificial Neural Network capable of detecting sales opportunities for Soprojetos® company, using the data obtained on the RDStation platform, with the accuracy of 97.9% for the Validation Basis.
