Desenvolvimento de um Sistema Inteligente para Determinação de Set Point no Controle da Área Superficial da Alumina: Aplicação de Lógica Fuzzy em Calcinadores de Leito Fluidizado
(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2015) COSTA, Hugo Pedro de Sousa Valente da; COSTA JUNIOR, Carlos Tavares da
This study investigates the implementation of a fuzzy system to control the specific surface area of alumina in fluidized bed calciners. The fuzzy methodology was chosen for its ability to handle complex and imprecise problems, leveraging empirical knowledge from experts. The developed system proposes temperature and pressure set points to optimize alumina quality and operational safety. Simulation results demonstrated the system's effectiveness, with adjustments based on real data collected from January to December 2014.

Modelo Fuzzy para Avaliar o Nível do Lean Manufacturing em uma Indústria Metalúrgica de Pequeno Porte
(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2019) SILVA, Ana Lúcia Fernandes da; LEITE, Jandecy Cabral
This research aims to specify a model of Lean Manufacturing level assessment based on fuzzy inference. The adopted model was based on computational simulation using fuzzy logic. Three of the seven major production wastes were analyzed: overproduction, inventory in process, and transportation. The studied company presented high levels of overproduction, process inventories, and a high internal transport index. Results indicated that the company is not Lean. The proposed model can be adjusted for other organizations, allowing new input and output variables. A future suggestion for the research is the inclusion of waiting time as a waste factor.

Utilização do Algoritmo no Controle Estatístico de Processo (CEP) e sua Confiabilidade nos Processos Industriais Aplicado em Controle de Torque: Estudo de Caso do Pólo de Duas Rodas
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011) ALENCAR, David Barbosa de; OLIVEIRA, Roberto Célio Limão de
The use of Statistical Process Control (SPC) is undoubtedly crucial in the production process, and competitiveness requires continuous improvement in the application of this tool. This paper aims to guide institutions and companies that want to adopt the use of computer technologies tools as SPC, presented through a simplified and affordable, the use of an algorithm. Statistical techniques can be excellent to show the degree of security required by a particular process, and here we show which tools to use in the SPC, to study and validate retrospectively the performance of understanding the production stage, we discuss the use of an algorithm for this application. The case study was applied in a two-wheel hub company, demonstrating the effectiveness of the algorithm in reducing process time and improving torque control reliability.

UTILIZAÇÃO DO ALGORITMO NO CEP E SUA CONFIABILIDADE NOS PROCESSOS INDUSTRIAIS, APLICADO EM CONTROLE DE TORQUE: ESTUDO DE CASO DO PÓLO DE DUAS RODAS
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011) ALENCAR, David Barbosa de; LIMÃO, Roberto Célio
The use of Statistical Process Control (SPC) is crucial in the production process, requiring continuous improvement. However, there is resistance to adopting new methodologies. The use of computational tools in SPC has become an essential trend. This dissertation aims to guide companies and institutions in adopting such tools, presenting an algorithm to optimize SPC application. Statistical techniques are employed to validate process security, demonstrating that SPC is a management tool that enables measuring product and service quality, comparing them to desired standards, and implementing corrective actions. The proposed approach is illustrated through a case study in the two-wheel industrial sector.
