Naive Bayes applied impacts harmonic analysis in industrial electrical systems
(INSTITUTO DE TECNOLOGIA, 2015) SILVA, Waterloo Ferreira da; NOGUEIRA, Rildo de Mendonça; CASTRO, Anderson; SANTANA, Ádamo L.; TOSTES, Maria Emília de Lima; Profa. Dra. Maria Adrina Paixão de Souza da Silva.
This paper applies the Naive Bayes data mining technique to analyze the impact of current harmonic distortion in an industrial facility located in the Manaus Industrial Pole. During a week-long measurement campaign, data were collected from circuits such as compressors, air conditioning systems, and tablet and notebook testing lines. Using tools like Weka and Genie, the analysis identified correlations between specific harmonic orders and increases in total harmonic distortion of voltage (THDv), with the 7th-order harmonic having the highest impact.

    Optimización Multiobjetivo de Filtros Pasivos
(INSTITUTO DE TECNOLOGIA, 2012) LEITE, Jandecy Cabral; ABRIL, Ignacio Pérez; TOSTES, Maria Emilia de Lima; OLIVEIRA, Roberto Celio Limão de; MAGALHÃES, Edilson Marques
Different approaches have been used to formulate the problem of passive filter design, classified into single or multi-objective formulations. While previous contributions solve the multi-objective problem by minimizing a single objective function composed of a weighted sum of sub-objectives, this work uses the Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm (NSGA-II) to address the problem. The developed program determines the number, location, configuration, and parameters of passive filters required to obtain non-dominated optimal solutions, considering four predefined filter types. The solution of a practical example demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed procedure.

This study analyzes the impacts of current harmonics on the electrical grid of an electronics industry in the Manaus Industrial Park, focusing on the manufacturing of computers, notebooks, and tablets. Using power quality analyzers and decision tree techniques, the work quantifies the total harmonic distortion (THD) and identifies the most impactful harmonics, such as the 5th and 7th orders, generated by non-linear loads. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the applied methodology to anticipate future regulations and improve energy quality.

A otimização de filtros passivos de harmônicos em sistemas elétricos industriais
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015) LEITE, Jandecy Cabral; ABRIL, Ignacio Pérez; AZEVEDO, Manuel Socorro Santos; TOSTES, Maria Emilia de Lima; BEZERRA, Ubiratan Holanda; NASCIMENTO, Manoel Henrique Reis
This article presents an analysis of the evolution of optimization formulations for passive harmonic filters in industrial power systems, highlighting the transition from single-objective to multi-objective formulations. Optimization methods such as Sequential Quadratic Programming (SQP), Simulated Annealing (SA), Differential Evolution (DE), Artificial Neural Networks (ANN), Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), and Genetic Algorithms (GA), among others, are discussed. The work shows how formulations have evolved to better represent the complexity of the problem, considering more comprehensive objective functions and constraints.
