Abstract

The globalization of the market impacts all segments of the modern world, especially in the retail industry, where competition among suppliers of products and services is increasingly fierce. This study aims to understand the impact of this effect on the retail industry and the behavior of costs in the results, comparing the efficiency and effectiveness before and after investments in modern equipment and strategic management of facility maintenance and people. The goal is to reduce facility operational costs using maintenance management tools and facilities management, identifying and controlling losses in the process, increasing asset reliability, and optimizing third-party contracts.
