    Educação Ambiental e Linguagem: O Uso do Livro Paradidático Interativo como Proposta Pedagógica para Despertar a Sensibilização Ambiental

    This research was conducted in ten public schools in Redenção-PA, with 6th and 9th-grade students, aiming to diagnose their environmental perception and produce an interactive paradidactic material. The goal was to compare environmental awareness before and after using the material, which addressed themes such as burning, water, waste, and pollution, integrating them with Portuguese language learning. The results showed that the material significantly contributed to environmental awareness and the development of reading and writing skills.

    Changes in teaching and learning activities in public schools, combined with consumerism generated by capitalism, have turned school units into spaces conducive to solid waste generation, causing environmental problems. This research aimed to promote the proper environmental disposal of waste generated in a public school in Manaus, encouraging reduction, reuse, and recycling. The adopted methodology was a descriptive and exploratory action research with a qualitative and quantitative approach. The results indicate the need for proper waste management to minimize environmental impacts.

    Educação Ambiental e Saúde: Estudo da Higiene dos Banheiros de Duas Escolas Públicas de Manaus e um Procedimento Operacional Padrão como Forma de Sensibilização

    The motivation for this research was the thought-provoking question to analyze how students understand the environmental education related to hygiene, and their perception about it influencing health. The objective of the dissertation is to understand the nonconformities of hygiene and enable a standard operating procedure as a way to sensitize the student body about the correct maintenance and sanitation of bathrooms. The methodological procedure was characterized by a case study with qualitative and quantitative approach. The research provided a better understanding of students' assimilation into the issues of proper school toilet hygiene and how to sensitize them to keep the environment clean. Thus contributing to the health of the environment. The proposal of a standard operating procedure (pop) to the student body provided some attitude changes related to hygiene in the bathrooms. This research showed that students have some knowledge about environmental education and hygiene, are interested in the subject, however there is little approach in schools on the subject. It is important for society to promote sustainable technologies, social actions fall into this axis of environmental education and hygiene.
