Item Modelo de Simulação Computacional para Balanceamento de Linhas de Produção das Empresas Cerâmicas de São Miguel do Guamá: Um Estudo de Caso(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2013) SILVA, Denilson Costa da; ICHIHARA, Jorge de AraújoThis work presents a computer simulation model to address the production line balancing problem in a red ceramic factory in São Miguel do Guamá. The study includes a literature review on discrete event systems, balancing methods, and modeling and simulation concepts. The methodology follows the method proposed by Chwif (1999), covering design, implementation, and analysis. The developed model describes the current state of the process, identifies bottlenecks, and proposes improvements through scenarios, with the third scenario showing the best results. The main contributions include the practical application of simulation in a local industry and the provision of a tool to enhance production processes.Item Utilização do Lodo de Estação de Tratamento de Efluentes da Indústria de Injeção Plástica como Matéria-Prima para Indústria Cerâmica(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011) JIMENEZ, Italo Jorge Tavares; SOUZA, José Antônio da SilvaThe plastic injection industry has a fundamental importance to the national economy because it is responsible for the production of primary inputs for many industries from electronics. These companies produce effluents coming from units of paint by blasting and spraying. This waste requires special treatment for their separation, storage and disposal. This paper studies an alternative way to use this waste in the red ceramic industry, evaluating parameters that influence important properties of artifacts made of red clay as density, porosity and bending strength, measured for mixtures of 2%, 5% and 10% by weight of waste, for the clay used, the results show that there is influence of this material in solid state reactions and can improve the properties cited.
