O GNL como mecanismo de flexibilização no fornecimento de gás natural para geração termelétrica no Amazonas
(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2020) PEREIRA, Salony Aquino; CUNHA, Edinaldo José de Sousa
The convergence between natural gas and electricity markets is increasing due to the liberalization of these markets and environmental constraints. The transport of natural gas in its liquefied form, LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas), is an important agent for this convergence. In Amazonas, there is a poorly distributed supply of natural gas, with only one supplier, which limits new business and increases investment costs. This study evaluates the feasibility of an alternative model based on LNG supply, acting as a mechanism to flexibilize the supply of natural gas and ensuring a better use of the electricity generation capacity currently installed in Amazonas.

Modelo Conceitual de Migração de Energia Elétrica do Mercado Cativo para o Mercado Livre
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018) TANAKA, Celso Satoshi; LEITE, Jandecy Cabral
The migration process of electricity from the captive market to the free market is well-established in most Brazilian capitals. However, Manaus joined this model late due to its isolation from the national electricity system. The research investigates the differences between regulated and free markets, analyzing new opportunities and developing a structured process for acquiring electricity in the new competitive scenario. The methodology includes multicriteria modeling, quality and delivery (QD) analysis, financial risk assessment, benchmarking, and decision matrix. The results showed a 53% reduction in electricity costs after migration.
