Due to global competitiveness and production complexity in modern industries, the need for methods to improve efficiency and productivity is highlighted. Given the growing need for industrial modernization, challenges such as process complexity, demand variability and resource limitations, there is a need for fast and assertive solutions, at the risk of inefficiencies and loss of competitiveness. In Brazil, the Manaus Industrial Park (PIM) is an example of how methodologies and tools, such as Lean Manufacturing and VSM, help to overcome challenges such as logistics costs and regulatory pressures, optimizing resources and meeting demand efficiently, together with Production Planning, defining strategies and coordinating operations to minimize costs and maximize productivity. The use of Quality and Production Management methodologies and tools are essential to improve production processes and ensure greater control, as well as focusing on eliminating waste and variations, identifying bottlenecks and optimizing flow. These methodologies and tools combined increase efficiency, improve quality and reduce costs, directly contributing to the competitiveness of companies in the global market. Focusing on the speaker manufacturing industry, the research, conducted in the form of a case study with a qualitative approach, explores the identification of practices to optimize production processes together with production planning, so that they can also be used in problem-solving, to maximize results and the impacts generated for the company. Through the application of these practices, improvements were achieved in the production rate and labor indicators used.

This study presents the implementation of Industry 4.0 enabling technologies, with an emphasis on the use of Digital Twins and the automation of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) calculation, applied to an electronic board assembly line at the Manaus Industrial Complex (PIM). The objective was to develop a solution capable of identifying, in real time, the times and reasons for production stops, aiming to optimize industrial processes and reduce operational costs. The data was collected through IoT sensors installed in the production lines, integrated into a digital platform that virtually replicated the manufacturing plant in a Digital Twin system. The OEE was automatically calculated based on the three main indicators: Availability, Performance, and Quality. Simulations in the virtual environment identified production bottlenecks and allowed predictive actions to avoid failures and optimize machine performance. The results, obtained over 80 days of monitoring, showed progress in production efficiency indicators, with a reduction in unscheduled downtime, dynamic adjustment of production parameters, and improvement in product quality, positively impacting sustainability.

Optimizing lead times ensures that customer deadlines are met, thereby promoting customer satisfaction and loyalty. Additionally, reducing lead time leads to more efficient resource management, directly impacting the reduction of operating costs. This study aimed to implement Industry 4.0 technologies to improve plastic injection processes at a company in the Manaus Industrial Estate (PIM), reducing manufacturing costs, accelerating the lead time for device construction, and optimizing the time for developing new products. The methodology involved data collection on new production processes and the evaluation of the technology's impact on reducing manufacturing costs and improving lead time. This was done by mapping the current process flow, analyzing production loss reports, and examining production performance data. The results show a significant reduction in lead time, from 35 to 9 days. 3D printing also enabled the creation of more complex and precise devices, with less material waste, directly contributing to cost reduction and improved product quality.
