(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2024-04-10) MADURO, Renata da Silva; RODRIGUEZ, Carlos Manuel Taboada; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5905893327298080
Reverse logistics is a concept that involves managing the reverse flow of products and materials focusing on reuse, recycling and adequate disposal of products at the end of their useful life, aiming to reduce environmental impact and ensure efficiency and sustainable development of products and productive processes. Currently, academic discussion in this regard is increasing and the research carried out offers, for the most part, practical answers for companies in facing obstacles to the implementation of reverse flows and highlights the economic and environmental advantages resulting from this practice. In order to understand the lack of implementation and investments of reverse flows in productive processes, the present work aims to identify the main barriers to its implementation in the electronics industries of the Manaus Industrial Complex. To this end, a systematic review of the literature was carried out, through which we can better understand the state of academic research on this subject and which made it possible to identify a series of barriers, which were categorized, selected and validated by industry experts and academic professionals based on questionnaires. Their responses were compiled creating an overall prioritization of the list of barriers. From then on, the decision making trial and evaluation laboratory method (DEMATEL) was used, which determined which barriers were most impactful based on the opinion of experts in order to obtain the level of relationship that a group of barriers exerts on another group. The purpose of this instrument is to offer for managers and decision makers a conceptual framework for understanding the difficulties of implementing reverse logistics practices in the Manaus Industrial Complex.

(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2023-06-20) SILVA, Elcilene Costa da; SILVA, Simone da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7260488247107062
Humanity is increasingly establishing a predatory relationship with nature due to the consumerist and capitalist model of production and, due to this lifestyle, humanity is rapidly approaching an environmental disaster scenario. Teaching and learning how to take care of the world, how to take care of the collective, how to reduce, recycle and reuse should be a topic worked on in schools in a relevant and effective way, raising awareness not only among students, but also among the teaching staff of educational institutions, professionals working in them, the community, society and the world. Only through education can we build behaviors and habits consistent with sustainability and only through curriculum restructuring, it can be worked on in an integrated way with knowledge and school experiences. Considering that the disciplines of the Pedagogical Project of the Course (PPC) of the Integrated Technical Course in Buildings do not include the theme of sustainability, this work aims to identify and propose the inclusion of the teaching of sustainability concepts and sustainable development in the syllabi of technical courses in the integrated mode in building construction from the Federal Institute of Amazonas - IFAM. In conclusion, it is understood that there is a shortage of disciplines focused on teaching sustainability, especially related to the triple sustainability of the environment, economy and social. Therefore, it is suggested to adopt disciplines that highlight the importance of the theme for future professionals.

Nowadays, there is a worldwide concern about issues related to the environment and one of the biggest environmental problems caused are generated by inadequate solid waste management of such waste and the lack of society's involvement. The present work deals with the management in Protestant Christian religious institutions, which are also producers of solid waste from them and, therefore, deserve to be studied scientifically, in order to answer the following guiding question: Solid waste management in Protestant Christian institutions in the city of Manaus asserts itself as an effective instrument for the concept of sustainability? The main objective of this work is to evaluate how Protestant Christian religious institutions act in the management of solid waste, identifying if these institutions do any kind of management of this generated waste, in order to monitor how it is done using quality management tools, methodology and analysis of the results achieved. The applied methodology will be descriptive, through observation, registration, analysis and correlation of the object or facts under study, however, without manipulating them. With the information collected from selected churches in all areas of the city, in equal quantity, through a practical form and checklist based on the National Solid Waste Policy, it will be possible to build a DMAIC framework and sequentially apply the GUT tool, to notes of the most urgent problems. The results of these notes will be put into the PDCA cycle for improvement planning and, finally, the 5W2H will be used to propose improvements, which will facilitate observation, data collection and analysis of the information obtained. The survey results showed a great possibility of these Christian communities to serve as environmental schools, and that if carried out, could bring a real mass awareness of society, thanks to its enormous scope.
