Among emerging technologies, ozonation stands out due to its high efficiency and environmental sustainability. This study analyzes the effectiveness of ozone application in water disinfection in Itajaí/SC, addressing its physicochemical principles, technical-economic feasibility, and environmental impacts. The methodology combined literature review, experimentation, and case study, showing that ozonation is more effective than chlorine, especially against resistant pathogens, and reduces toxic byproducts while providing synergistic effects when combined with other methods. Directing these spaces towards sports takes advantage of social interest and strengthens the conservation of these areas. This study, conducted through observational research in the city of Niterói-RJ, investigates the environmental and social benefits of using parks for physical activity. The results indicate that public spaces play a crucial role in promoting physical and mental health while encouraging social interaction and sustainability. This study proposes an analysis of solid waste management in civil construction in Manaus. Due to a modification in CONAMA Resolution No. 307, gypsum has been reclassified as Category B, indicating that it can be recycled or reused. This study aimed to diagnose the generation of gypsum waste from construction companies in Manaus and evaluate the technical characteristics of recycled gypsum produced on a pilot scale for reintegration into the civil construction production chain. Laboratory tests were conducted to compare the properties of recycled gypsum with conventional gypsum, assessing setting time, mechanical strength, and consistency. The results highlight the need to overcome challenges for reverse logistics to be strategically adopted, considering its economic and environmental benefits. The research included a literature review, questionnaires answered by experts, and the use of the DEMATEL method to assess the influence between the barrier categories.Item Redução do consumo de energia no processo de tratamento térmico T6 nas ligas de alumínio AC2B – AICuSi(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2024) SILVA, Ricardo Cruz da; GUIMARÃES, Gil Eduardo; MARINELLI FILHO, Nelson; TREVISOL, Janyel; LEITE, Jandecy CabralAluminum is the second most produced metal in the world, second only to steel, but the process of reducing bauxite ore into alumina (Al2O3) requires high temperatures, making the beneficiation process expensive and generating CO2. This work proposes the reduction of energy consumption and CO2 emissions in the T6 heat treatment of AC2B (A319) aluminum alloys by adjusting the limits of the alloying elements Cu, Si, and Mg. The research demonstrated that the new proposed alloy allows for a reduction in the time and temperature of the heat treatment, resulting in a 14.6% reduction in electricity consumption and a 2.99% reduction in raw material costs, while maintaining the mechanical and thermal properties of the alloy.Item Projeto de uma nova linha de produção de Indústria 4.0, com ênfase na mão de obra humana e sistemas robóticos, baseado em indicadores do método de simulação por gêmeos digitais(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2025) MONTEIRO, Manoel de Assis; GUIMARÃES, Gil Eduardo; MARINELLI FILHO, Nelson; SALAZAR, Rodrigo Fernando dos Santos; CORREA, Geraldo Nunes; LEITE, Jandecy CabralThis article presents the modeling and analysis of a new production line in the context of Industry 4.0, integrating technologies such as digital twins, collaborative robots (COBOTs), and command and supervision systems. Two scenarios are compared: a traditional production line operated exclusively by humans and an automated line with human-robot interaction. The research used Plant Simulation software to model and simulate these scenarios, evaluating indicators such as productivity, costs, operator fatigue, and safety. The results showed a significant increase in productivity, improved working conditions, and greater sustainability. Social and economic impacts were also discussed, emphasizing the need for workforce retraining and the promotion of safer and more ergonomic work environments.Item Transformação digital e evolução tecnológica na Zona Franca de Manaus: caminhos e desafios entre a Indústria 4.0 e a Sociedade 5.0(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2024) VALE, Rosangela Victor do; GUIMARÃES, Gil Eduardo; MARINELLI FILHO, Nelson; SALAZAR, Rodrigo Fernando dos Santos; CORREA, Geraldo Nunes; LEITE, Jandecy CabralThis study analyzes the impacts and challenges of digital transformation in the Manaus Free Trade Zone, highlighting how Industry 4.0 technologies can drive the transition to Society 5.0. The research employs a mixed approach, integrating qualitative and quantitative methods, with case studies and field research applied to the Manaus Industrial Hub (PIM). The results indicate that 75% of the analyzed companies have already implemented initiatives aligned with Society 5.0, with an emphasis on Production/Operations and Information Technology. However, barriers such as a lack of professional qualification, organizational resistance, and high costs limit the full potential of emerging technologies. On the other hand, benefits such as cost reduction, enhanced connectivity, and increased customer satisfaction are evident. The article proposes an integrative model that combines technological adoption with training strategies, tax incentives, and partnerships between companies and academic institutions. It concludes that digital transformation in the PIM has the potential to position the Manaus Free Trade Zone as a global example of sustainable development, promoting social inclusion and technological innovation.
