    The study presents the application of fuzzy logic in classifying the compression resistance of corrugated cardboard boxes. The research aims to provide a quick and accurate classification of box strength (inadequate, good, adequate) using simulations based on essential parameters such as the McKee formula and static stacking. The project's innovation lies in applying fuzzy logic to interpret imprecise data, optimizing the packaging development process and reducing logistical costs.

    Aplicação de ferramentas da gestão da qualidade para redução de scrap em uma indústria de caixa eletrônico no Polo Industrial de Manaus

    This study presents the application of quality management tools, such as DMAIC and Lean Six Sigma, to reduce the scrap rate in an ATM manufacturing industry in the Manaus Industrial Pole. The main objective was to identify the key factors contributing to scrap generation and implement improvements that would optimize production processes and reduce waste. The research involved a detailed mapping of the production process, identification of root causes of the problems, and the proposal of corrective actions. The results showed a significant reduction in scrap, contributing to the company's competitiveness.

    This chapter addresses inventory management in a confectionery located in Manaus-AM, highlighting the importance of proper planning to minimize costs and maximize profits. The research used the BCG Matrix and Production Planning and Control (PPC) to evaluate the confectionery's product portfolio and implement management techniques that ensure efficiency in inventory management, avoiding waste and material shortages. As a result, the confectionery is expected to gain a competitive advantage, staying ahead of competitors and ensuring final customer satisfaction.

    This work presents a route optimization model for product collection and delivery using georeferencing and genetic algorithms, focusing on courier companies. The study was motivated by the increased demand for delivery services during the COVID-19 pandemic, highlighting the need for improvements in logistics efficiency. The research addresses the importance of optimizing resource use and reducing operational costs, especially in a scenario of growing reliance on e-commerce. Using techniques such as the vehicle routing problem and the traveling salesman problem, the proposed model aims to improve the operational capacity of companies, ensuring better vehicle utilization and route planning.

    Uso de ferramentas computacionais e de qualidade na melhoria de design de monitores de LCD

    This dissertation addresses the improvement of LCD monitor design using computational and quality tools. The research is justified by the continuous need for innovation and enhancement of these devices to meet the growing demands for quality and functionality in the global market. The study focused on solving specific design issues, such as adhesive infiltration in the joystick button mechanism, which compromised monitor operation. By applying tools such as PDCA, Ishikawa Diagram, Kaizen, and Fuzzy Logic, the research successfully identified and implemented significant improvements, resulting in a drastic reduction in defect rates and production costs.

    Desenvolvimento de um layout de etiquetas seriais para redução de falhas de leitura em códigos de barras

    This work addresses the development of a serial label layout to reduce barcode reading failures in a company in the electronics sector. The barcode is an essential tool for the accuracy and efficiency of production processes. However, the company faces challenges related to reading these labels, leading to interruptions and loss of efficiency. The research proposes solutions to improve the label layout by applying quality tools such as the Ishikawa diagram and the 5 Whys, aiming to eliminate failures and optimize the production process.

    Análise ergonômica do trabalho (AET) em linha de inserção manual de produção industrial no segmento eletroeletrônico

    This study presents an Ergonomic Work Analysis (EWA) applied to a manual insertion production line in the electronics manufacturing sector. The main objective was to identify and implement ergonomic improvements to optimize working conditions and, consequently, increase productivity and worker well-being. The research involved the collection of anthropometric data, analysis of repetitive movements and postures adopted by workers, and the implementation of ergonomic improvements. As a result, the company observed a significant reduction in occupational diseases, absenteeism, and an increase in productivity and quality indicators.

The research addresses the logistical challenges faced by the company due to its geographical location and the need to reduce costs and increase operational efficiency. The proposed model uses lean manufacturing principles and aims to optimize the supply chain, ensuring a continuous flow of inputs and minimizing freight and inventory costs. The implementation of this model aims to provide greater competitiveness to the company, adapting it to the demands of the global market.

    This study presents the application of Lean Six Sigma and DMAIC methodologies to reduce sugar loss in the production process of a soft drink company belonging to Grupo Simões. The research focuses on the analysis and optimization of syrup manufacturing and beverage bottling processes, aiming to reduce sugar waste, which directly impacts production costs. By implementing these methodologies, the company was able to identify the root causes of the losses and propose solutions to significantly reduce operational inefficiencies, improving the quality and competitiveness of the final product.

    Uso da ferramenta DMAIC: alto índice de falhas no processo de parafusamento de heat sink

    This study explores the application of the DMAIC tool to address high incidence of failures in the heat sink screwing process at a company in the Industrial Hub of Manaus. The DMAIC methodology, combined with tools such as the Ishikawa diagram and statistical control, was used to identify root causes of the problem and implement process improvements. The study demonstrated that adopting the methodology resulted in a significant reduction in failures and associated financial losses, improving operational efficiency and product quality.
