Logística Reversa de Pós-Consumo de Bateria de Celular
(INSTITUTO DE TECNOLOGIA, 2012) SILVA, Carlos Américo de Souza; LEITE, Jandecy Cabral; VIEIRA, Kellen Bicho; MAGALHÃES, Edilson Marques
This study examines reverse logistics as a tool for sustainable development, focusing on the proper disposal of mobile phone batteries, which contain heavy metals harmful to the environment. The research analyzed manufacturers, mobile operators, and consumers in the Manaus Industrial Pole (PIM), identifying challenges such as low consumer participation in the return process, despite the availability of return channels. The results emphasize the need for awareness campaigns and better-structured reverse channels to reduce improper disposal and promote recycling.

Modelo de Certificação Ambiental em Processos e Produtos Eletrônicos
(INSTITUTO DE TECNOLOGIA, 2012) SILVA, Carlos Américo de Souza; LEITE, Jandecy Cabral; PALADINI, Edson Pacheco; VIEIRA, Kellen Bicho; Edinaldo José de Sousa Cunha
The article presents an environmental certification model (Green Partner) for electronic processes and products, aiming to eliminate or control hazardous substances such as heavy metals (cadmium, lead, chromium, and mercury). Based on Sony's SS-00259 standard, the study demonstrates the model's application in a company from the Manaus Industrial Hub, highlighting the integration of management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001) and the competitive and sustainable benefits of certification.

Advantages of applying composite material to replace metal alloys in aviation
(INSTITUTO DE TECNOLOGIA, 2015) BARROS, Marcelo André Santiago; FUJIYAMA, Roberto Tetsuo; LEITE, Jandecy Cabral; MAGALHÃES, Edilson Marques
Composite materials were used by early agricultural societies and their adoption has been driven by military technological needs. High fuel costs and strict environmental regulations have increased the demand for this technology in the civil sector. This article presents the application advantages of composites in aircraft structures, especially regarding weight reduction, lower operational costs, and environmental, social, and economic impacts. The research includes literature review, experimental studies, and comparisons with traditional metal alloys.
