Adequação de Máquinas Injetoras Horizontais às Normas Regulamentadoras NR 17 e NR 35: Estudo de Caso
(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2021) OLIVEIRA, Rick Rocha de; LEITE, Jandecy Cabral
Safety risks with plastic injection machines represent a serious problem in the plastic production chain. Even with the implementation of NBR 13536/16 to establish the minimum safety requirements for injection machines and its subsequent inclusion in the NR 12 regulatory standard, there are risks related to work at heights and ergonomics that are not properly specified, especially during activities of maintenance of the feed hopper or resin change-over. To mitigate such risks, the present work developed two prototypes of safety adequacy of injection machines to NR 17 and NR 35 standards, based on their size and clamping force. After the implementation of the prototypes, productivity improvements were observed, such as a decrease of approximately 45% in the duration of hopper maintenance time and a 33% reduction in the duration of time for resin change-over, in addition to meeting the safety and ergonomics requirements of the NR 17 and NR 35 standards. Through a satisfaction survey, the changes enabled by the prototypes were evaluated as extremely positive by 80% of the technical staff involved.

A Percepção de Profissionais da Segurança Pública sobre a Cadeia de Custódia no Estado do Amazonas
(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2021) MARQUES, Thiago Soares; BATISTA, Clauderino da Silva
The objective of this research is to highlight the indispensability of the chain of custody in relation to ballistic evidence, since, in the case of criminal proceedings, it is essential to present evidence and, for this, it must be ensured that it is properly protected, packaged and analyzed, a process that is carried out through the chain of custody. It was also sought to verify if the professionals involved in this process are able to carry it out properly and, therefore, data collection was carried out through a questionnaire with workers from the Public Security Department of the State of Amazonas. The results demonstrate that a portion, even if small, of the participants do not fully understand where the chain of custody starts and/or how to deal with ballistic evidence. The questionnaire also portrayed the difficulties faced by workers in Manaus, as it allowed them to report their perceptions regarding working conditions, which are often deficient. Therefore, it was concluded that apparently simple vices with ballistic evidence and its chain of custody process can compromise its authenticity, causing impunity caused by contesting its validity in criminal cases.

(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2020) CAVALCANTE, Milca Daniele Marques; ESTUMANO, Diego Cardoso
With the fourth industrial revolution underway and a globalized market, organizations must be agile and flexible to meet customer requirements and needs. This work aims to develop an analysis of the application of Lean Manufacturing tools in the management of Maintenance Planning and Control (PCM) of a mining company. The study was based on a diagnosis of the initial situation of the PCM, in which low adherence to some indicators was identified, as well as the lack of a problem-solving method. Based on this, a methodology was developed to evaluate the indicators after the implementation of the shop floor and routine management tools (FMDS, kaizen, and Andon). With the implementation of these tools, consistent results were achieved, presented in graphs, demonstrating the effectiveness of the Lean Manufacturing philosophy in the continuous improvement of maintenance processes.

Uso do Layout Industrial como Ferramenta de Melhoria no Processo de Fabricação de Carteiras Escolares
(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2020) REIS, Gilmara Cruz dos; CUNHA, Edinaldo José de Sousa
One of the most common problems encountered in the manufacturing process is the inadequate layout. About 30% of production time is wasted on transporting materials and products. The cause of this waste is problems in the disposition of stock and machines in production, that is, in the factory layout. In this context, the production line based on the cellular layout has been a powerful ally, since the cells of this layout are able to improve the use of available space, without increasing costs due to major renovations or constructions. To prove such improvements, through the implementation of the cell layout, the PSL method (Systematic Layout Planning) was used, which follows steps such as: data collection, analysis of the necessary and available space and factory limitations. With these stages of knowledge and analysis of the factory, it becomes possible to discard layouts that do not fit the characteristics of the company, whether related to financial resources, available space and factory culture. After choosing the cell layout, the statistical data was evaluated using the Chi Square test, with that, it became possible to validate that the production became more efficient with the use of the cell layout. The result found was that with the implementation of the cell layout, there was an increase in the number of wallets produced and a reduction in the waste of materials. It was concluded that the industrial layout is an efficient tool for improving the production process of school desks, because with the implementation of an adequate layout it brought numerous benefits to the factory under study, such as: increased productivity, greater organization and flexibility in the processes.

(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2020) MELGUEIRO, Priscilla Mendonça de Lima; QUARESMA, Sil Franciley dos Santos
The great transformations that Brazilian education has undergone have contributed very positively to the advances achieved in both the public and private sectors. The way private universities are shown and seen within the educational market makes all the difference within this sector. Its solidity and positive results interfere in the candidates' choices when choosing an institution to enter a college. Thus, this work aimed to analyze the effectiveness of the activities of the Commercial Process, from the application of several PDCA Cycles in a Faculty of Manaus (face-to-face modality). The methodology of this research has a qualitative character and was based on the development of the PDCA cycle, which consists of four distinct phases: Planning, Development, Verification and Action, in addition to the GUT and Ishikawa quality tool. All fundraising and retention practices were analyzed and updated by the faculty management, and from there, a new work proposal was launched to solve the problem in question. Thus, with this research it was possible to see that, with the implementation of quality tools, the results were positive, as the capture and retention goals were surpassed, showing the success and effectiveness of the PDCA cycle. It was also possible to perceive that, which in fact lead 42% of the students to not renew with the college are due to financial problems; 19% changes in bank slips from one month to another; 12% changes to other states; 18% stated lack of vocation / identification with the course, and 9% lack of practicality and clarification at the time of enrollment.
