AVALIAÇÃO DA APLICAÇÃO DO CICLO PDCA NA TOMADA DE DECISÃO EM PROCESSOS INDUSTRIAIS
(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2015) ALBUQUERQUE, Ananélia Cláudia Rodrigues de Queiroz; LEITE, Jandecy Cabral
The multiplicity of challenges of a globalized and competitive reality of industrial processes has driven the development of several instruments to the essential synchronization of the quality management system within the organizational processes. In this context, this work presents the instrument called PDCA cycle that, if implemented effectively in the industrial process, operates on improving decision-making for its broad applicability, versatility and relevance as an aid in finding solutions to the challenges that the management quality faces and enables the identification of factors that interfere and/or facilitate the dynamics of the strategic vision through the quality management system and its control in order to meet business and market demands. This is a research/action that drew upon questionnaires, interviews, direct observation and data collection through technical visits carried on as a case study. The PDCA cycle in this paper was used as a tool for evaluation and diagnosed discontinuities in the company's production process under study, pointing inconsistency between the input and the output. Furthermore, the identification of the problem has been delayed due to miscommunication between the sectors involved in the production process, which has hindered the decision-making for solving the critical point.

The great transformations that Brazilian education has undergone have contributed very positively to the advances achieved in both the public and private sectors. The way private universities are shown and seen within the educational market makes all the difference within this sector. Its solidity and positive results interfere in the candidates' choices when choosing an institution to enter a college. Thus, this work aimed to analyze the effectiveness of the activities of the Commercial Process, from the application of several PDCA Cycles in a Faculty of Manaus (face-to-face modality). The methodology of this research has a qualitative character and was based on the development of the PDCA cycle, which consists of four distinct phases: Planning, Development, Verification and Action, in addition to the GUT and Ishikawa quality tool. All fundraising and retention practices were analyzed and updated by the faculty management, and from there, a new work proposal was launched to solve the problem in question. Thus, with this research it was possible to see that, with the implementation of quality tools, the results were positive, as the capture and retention goals were surpassed, showing the success and effectiveness of the PDCA cycle. It was also possible to perceive that, which in fact lead 42% of the students to not renew with the college are due to financial problems; 19% changes in bank slips from one month to another; 12% changes to other states; 18% stated lack of vocation / identification with the course, and 9% lack of practicality and clarification at the time of enrollment.

Aplicação de Ferramentas da Qualidade como Solução de Acúmulo de Insumos Defeituosos na Produção de Placas Eletrônicas
(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2019) SOUZA, Kleyse dos Santos da Silva; CUNHA, Edinaldo José de Sousa
The study addresses the application of quality tools to solve issues related to the accumulation of defective inputs in the production of electronic boards in a multinational white goods company. The research identified discrepancies between physical and systematized inventory, leading to excessive stock, material obsolescence, and lack of FIFO control. Using tools such as the PDCA Cycle, GUT Matrix, Ishikawa Diagram, and 5W2H, corrective actions were proposed, reducing inventory costs by R$ 2,085,252.94, maintaining only 37% of the original value required for operational turnover.

Inventory control is essential to ensure congruence between physical and systematized stock, aiming at quality and continuous productivity improvement. This study addresses the problem of information divergence in the inventory of a multinational white goods company, resulting in excessive stock, material obsolescence, and lack of FIFO. The applied methodology included the use of quality tools and the PDCA cycle, resulting in a reduction of material costs by R$ 2,085,252.94 and the need for only 37% of the excess inventory value for operational turnover.
