Aterro Sanitário - Proposta Relevante para Reduzir os Lixões nas Cidades de até 100.000 Habitantes
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016) LOPES, Enildo Batista; SOUZA, José Antônio da Silva; RODRÍGUEZ, Jorge Laureano Moya
This dissertation presents a study on solid waste management in Brazilian cities with up to 100,000 inhabitants, focusing on the need to replace dumps with landfills. The work addresses the challenges of environmental management and proposes solutions for the adequate disposal of waste, aiming to preserve public health and the environment. The research includes a literature review and suggests the construction of a landfill as a viable alternative to mitigate the negative impacts of dumps, as well as discussing the importance of environmental education and community involvement.

Sistematização e Transporte do Pescado para o Processamento e Abastecimento Industrial no Alto Solimões
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016) CRUZ, Francilene dos Santos; CARVAJAL, Tirso Lorenzo Reyes; BRAGA, Eduardo Magalhães
This paper systematically and analytically addresses the fish trade in the Upper Solimões region, in the state of Amazonas. The research followed the routine of local fishermen, who rely on fishing for subsistence, highlighting the difficulties they face, such as the lack of incentives for fish trade and the smuggling of fish to foreign countries. The need for fish warehouses for processing and distribution of a quality product was noted, emphasizing that the municipality of Tabatinga already has a warehouse, but it is not operational. The research also highlighted the presence of refrigerators and floating warehouses along the route, which serve to store production. Data collected in interviews demonstrated the commercial dynamics in the triple border area and the environmental and fiscal impacts resulting from the lack of inspection.

Implantação da Metodologia de Desenvolvimento de Projeto de Redes Corporativas Computacionais
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018) NEVES, André Ricardo Nascimento das; QUARESMA, João Nazareno Nonato
Companies frequently invest in high-performance IT infrastructure while neglecting structured cabling, which is crucial for network performance. This research investigates the applicability of NBR 14565:2007, a standard for structured cabling in corporate networks. Using the PMBOK methodology, the study was conducted in a military organization in Rio Grande do Sul to enhance logical network infrastructure. The findings indicate that implementing the standard improved performance, compatibility with future systems, and interoperability.

Sintonia de Controladores PID Aplicada a Robôs Uniciclos Utilizando o Algoritmo do Lobo Cinzento (GWO)
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018) MEDEIROS, Antonio Benjamin Leão de; MARANHÃO, Geraldo Neves de Albuquerque
Industrial AGVs have a wide range of applications in manufacturing processes, providing flexibility and safety for operators. PID controllers are commonly used for controlling these robots. This study proposes optimizing a PID controller for a unicycle-type AGV using the Gray Wolf Optimization (GWO) algorithm, a heuristic technique inspired by the hunting behavior of gray wolves. The PID controller’s performance is compared with a conventional kinematic controller, considering different trajectories and running simulations to evaluate standard and mean errors in robot responses. The study also examines the impact of iteration numbers and search agents on algorithm performance and suggests future improvements.

Monitoramento de Redes com Software Livre: Solução de Baixo Custo numa Escola da Rede Privada
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018) LYRA JÚNIOR, Enéas Barbosa; QUARESMA, João Nazareno Nonato
The monitoring of a computer network requires an assessment of the efficiency of services, equipment, and methodologies within an infrastructure, whether commercial or residential. This process is essential to ensure continuous network operation and service quality. With the growing use of computer networks, management challenges have also increased, including service failures and improperly configured servers. This dissertation presents a study and implementation of the Zabbix tool for monitoring services and assets of a computer network in a private school in Manaus. The case study analyzed service operations and the supervision of computational resources, leading to satisfactory control of network equipment and services.

This work focuses on evaluating the work environment of teachers in a teaching institution in Manaus regarding painful, unhealthy, and perilous activities according to the Ministry of Labor and Employment regulations (NR-15, NR-16, and NR-17). The research analyzed 19 classrooms, 18 laboratories, and a population of 85 teachers, assessing exposure risks according to labor legislation. The study was conducted from October 2017 to March 2018.

Fluxo de Potência em Minirrede de Distribuição com Gerador Fotovoltaico Centralizado e Disperso em Comunidade Isolada
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018) RAMOS, Marcello Paulino; MACÊDO, Wilson Negrão
This study presents a project proposal for an Isolated System of Generation and Distribution of Electric Energy (MIGDI) through a photovoltaic plant and its respective load flow study. Following ANEEL’s Normative Resolution 493 and other applicable technical standards, the study includes solar resource assessment, demand estimation, PV generator sizing, battery bank, charge controller, inverter, distribution network, and power flow analysis. Simulations compare centralized and dispersed photovoltaic generation scenarios, evaluating energy losses and suitable electrical parameters. The study proposes a methodology for electricity supply in isolated communities in the Amazon, ensuring energy quality and efficiency.
