Item Análise da Melhoria no Processo de Manutenção de Navios com a Aplicação do DMAIC e de Ferramentas de Qualidade(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2019) GUIMARÃES, Glendha de Oliveira; QUARESMA, João Nazareno NonatoPublic sector organizations are usually associated with slow, bureaucratic processes that generate late results. This work aims to apply the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) methodology to analyze and propose improvements in the ship maintenance process, using quality tools. The research strategy adopted was a case study applied to the ship maintenance process. Based on DMAIC, process improvements were proposed to meet the demand for these services. Through the application of tools such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Ishikawa, SWOT, and others, it was possible to mitigate the lack of standardization of procedures, the lack of a systemic view of the process flow by managers, the deficiency in server training, and the lack of focus on the end customer.Item Aplicação da Metodologia Seis Sigma como Fator Estratégico para Aumento da Eficiência Operacional: Estudo de Caso de uma Empresa no Setor Portuário(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2020) SILVA, Herberth Bruno Nunes e; MAGALHÃES, Edilson MarquesThis work proposes the application of the Six Sigma methodology aligned with the strategic goal of a company in the port sector to increase its loading capacity by optimizing operational processes, reducing losses, and improving efficiency. The exploratory research was conducted through a case study with the implementation of the methodology in the operational processes of a port unit located in São Luís - MA. Six Sigma tools and concepts were used, with emphasis on the DMAIC method (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control). After implementation, operational losses were reduced by 0.42 hours per ship, resulting in a potential gain of 375 hours per year, contributing to greater operational efficiency at the port and achieving the company's strategic objectives.Item Uso do Layout Industrial como Ferramenta de Melhoria no Processo de Fabricação de Carteiras Escolares(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2020) REIS, Gilmara Cruz dos; CUNHA, Edinaldo José de SousaOne of the most common problems encountered in the manufacturing process is the inadequate layout. About 30% of production time is wasted on transporting materials and products. The cause of this waste is problems in the disposition of stock and machines in production, that is, in the factory layout. In this context, the production line based on the cellular layout has been a powerful ally, since the cells of this layout are able to improve the use of available space, without increasing costs due to major renovations or constructions. To prove such improvements, through the implementation of the cell layout, the PSL method (Systematic Layout Planning) was used, which follows steps such as: data collection, analysis of the necessary and available space and factory limitations. With these stages of knowledge and analysis of the factory, it becomes possible to discard layouts that do not fit the characteristics of the company, whether related to financial resources, available space and factory culture. After choosing the cell layout, the statistical data was evaluated using the Chi Square test, with that, it became possible to validate that the production became more efficient with the use of the cell layout. The result found was that with the implementation of the cell layout, there was an increase in the number of wallets produced and a reduction in the waste of materials. It was concluded that the industrial layout is an efficient tool for improving the production process of school desks, because with the implementation of an adequate layout it brought numerous benefits to the factory under study, such as: increased productivity, greater organization and flexibility in the processes.Item Melhoria de Processo de Produção através da Aplicação de Métodos de Ferramentas da Qualidade em uma Linha de Confecção de Uniformes Industriais(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2020) COSTA, Roger Roberto Corrêa; SOUZA, José Antônio da SilvaInstitutions are subjected to the challenge of surviving in an increasingly competitive and demanding market, resulting from changes in the social, political, political and technological spheres, especially within the Covid-19 pandemic context. Quality appears, in this current scenario, as a timely and relevant theme. This research aimed to implement quality management methods in a line of confections of industrial uniforms to optimize processes. Aspiring to achieve the proposed objectives, a methodological choice was made through a quantitative and qualitative research, through a case study carried out in a company that manufactures uniforms at the Industrial Pole located in the city of Manaus-Amazonas. The survey involved eighteen employees and when asked about knowledge related to quality management, 22% demonstrated knowledge, to the detriment of 78%. About 83% of respondents consider the quality system to be efficient, while 17% disagree. Concerning the opening of the company to new ideas, 55% responded positively, while 45% do not feel at ease. Regarding the factors that cause bottlenecks in the process and rework, 50% reported that the finish does not meet the requirements, 33% reported a failure to insert the push button and 17% reported a failure in embroidery. The application of tools of quality helped to identify bottlenecks and analyze productivity. Solutions have been proposed to increase the efficiency and efficiency of the examined industry, especially in terms of after-sales.Item Influência de um Programa de Sugestões na Melhoria da Qualidade em um Processo Industrial no Polo Industrial de Manaus(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011) BRITO, Orleans Marques de; Prof. Dr. Roberto Célio Limão de OliveiraThe objective of this work is to demonstrate the application of a suggestion program within a manufacturing environment in the Industrial Pole of Manaus, evaluating its performance as a tool for quality management, innovation, and continuous improvement. The study analyzes the capture, evaluation, and implementation of ideas suggested by employees, measuring the gains and impacts on the production process. It also discusses the recognition and rewards for employees whose suggestions generate savings and improvements for the company
