Item Adequação Estrutural dos Pilares de um Edifício Residencial em Concreto Armado na Cidade de Rio Branco(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2013) SANTOS, Mateus Silva dos; OLIVEIRA, Dênio Ramam Carvalho deThis work presents a case study on the recovery and strengthening of reinforced concrete pillars in a residential building located in the city of Rio Branco, Acre. The building, abandoned for about two decades, presented structural pathologies that compromised its safety. The adopted reinforcement method was reinforced concrete jacketing, which consists of increasing the cross-section of the pillars with the addition of concrete and reinforcements. The study included the structural analysis of the building, the redesign of the pillars, and the application of the reinforcement technique, demonstrating the effectiveness of the method in recovering the building's structural capacity.Item Agregado miúdo proveniente do Jari/AP como material de construção civil na utilização de argamassas(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015) SOUZA, Márcio Rodrigo Nunes de; OLIVEIRA, Dênio Ramam Carvalho deNatural fine aggregates are widely used in construction for the production of mortars and concretes. This study analyzed the behavior of fine aggregate from Laranjal do Jari-AP, comparing it with the traditional fine aggregate from the metropolitan region of Belém-PA. Physical, mechanical, and durability tests were conducted following ABNT standards. The results showed that the aggregate from Laranjal do Jari-AP exhibited higher compressive and tensile strength, in addition to meeting durability standards, demonstrating potential for use in mortars in civil construction.Item Avaliação da Primeira Etapa do PROSAMIM às Margens do Igarapé Mestre Chico(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015) OLIVEIRA, Andréa Cristina Fernandes de; OLIVEIRA, Dênio Ramam Carvalho deThis work aims to show the problem of housing and environmental impact by making an analysis of the Social and Environmental Program of streams of Manaus (PROSAMIM) as housing solution. The core of this research was the basin of Educandos, specifically the stream of the Mestre Chico, located in the around of the southern zone, because this stream one of the most important in the composition of the river system and one of the most inhabited. The materials and methods used were the bibliographical and field research, within 10 months (February to November / 2014), and analysis of the program through research instruments (questionnaire). In the field survey, there was the participation of 100 families, a total of 938 residents. In the investigation, it was found problems, such as social exclusion, violence, noise, lack of drainage, among others. Regarding the results the survey found that urbanization through revitalization of community space promoted urban sanitation and cleaning and rational use of land use to stream margins, improving the community's life quality.Item Avaliação do Isolamento Acústico em um Templo Religioso na Cidade de Santarém – PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014) CRUZ, Manoel José Oliveira da; OLIVEIRA, Dênio Ramam Carvalho deThe soundproofing of theaters, houses of worship, auditoriums, and concert halls is of fundamental importance in the social context, ensuring that the operation of these sites is in accordance with the techniques applied in civil engineering and the city's posture code. This paper presents the results of sound pressure level measurements in a religious temple to enable a qualitative assessment of sound insulation in accordance with national technical standards and the City's Posture Code. The sound levels obtained at peripheral points were satisfactory, within the required technical standards, showing an efficiency of low-cost and comfortable coatings for the human ear.Item Capacidade Resistente Residual de Vigas Fissuradas(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014) CAETANO, Thiago Rodrigues Gonçalves; OLIVEIRA, Dênio Ramam Carvalho deCracks in concrete beams are among the major diseases that take a structure to ruin. This work seeks to develop an analytical tool easy to use and analyze the bearing capacity of cracked beams in order to estimate the ultimate moment in which they could collapse from the first crack. Technical visits and interviews with professionals highlighted the prevalence of mixer use, lack of technological control, and poor aggregate quality as main challenges.Item Concreto produzido com agregado graúdo basáltico da região de Santarém-PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015) DINIZ, Sandro Jerônimo de Almeida; OLIVEIRA, Dênio Ramam Carvalho deConstruction and road infrastructure conservation are considered important for regional development, for it to remain trafficability, the flow of production, access to goods and services as well as transport of goods and people. Considering the inherent difficulties and circumstances relating to the implementation of road infrastructure projects in the Amazon (for example, the "winter Amazon" predominantly occurring in the months from January to June), the "Serra" Inajá "(located on the BR-163 highway, km 195, Santarém-Cuiabá sense) is an obstacle to be overcome in carrying out this work. This study consisted of a geotechnical characterization Rock "Serra do Inajá" in order to obtain results that technically support the execution of construction works / maintenance of the highway, under the responsibility of a Construction Engineering Battalion. We evaluated the main geotechnical properties of samples collected on site, from the crushing and crushing of materials held in the deployment of BEC in the municipality of Rurópolis-PA and subsequent laboratory tests carried out in Santarém-PA. The methodology consisted of crushed rock tests as aggregate for concrete test specimens; general characterization of gabbroic rocks, discussing the correlations between different properties. The results have revealed that the crushed rock, a gabbro, existing in the "Serra do Inajá" at Km 165 of the BR-163 stretch between the city of Santarém and the municipality of Rurópolis after tested as aggregate, attended standard for structural concrete, and its average compressive strength, tested specimens, 26,1 MPa.Item Concreto Produzido com Agregado Graúdo Basáltico da Região de Santarém-PA: Caracterização Geotécnica e Aplicação em Obras Rodoviárias(INSTITUTO DE TECNOLOGIA, 2015) DINIZ, Sandro Jeronimo de Almeida; NETO, Bernardo Borges Pompeu; OLIVEIRA, Dênio Ramam Carvalho de; MAGALHÃES, Edilson MarquesThe study evaluates the use of coarse basaltic aggregate from Serra do Inajá, in the Santarém-PA region, for structural concrete in road construction. Axial compression, granulometry, and Los Angeles abrasion tests were conducted, showing that the material has an average strength of 136.2 MPa in intact rock and meets normative requirements for concrete above 20 MPa. The results indicate technical feasibility, with potential for cost reduction and local resource utilization.Item Concretos com Agregado Graúdo a Partir dos Resíduos de Cerâmica Vermelha(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015) SANTOS, José Augusto Vieira dos; OLIVEIRA, Dênio Ramam Carvalho deThis study investigates the technical feasibility of using waste generated in the production of red ceramic artifacts (bricks and tiles) as coarse aggregate in Portland cement concrete. The research proposes the partial or total replacement of natural coarse aggregate with red ceramic waste (RCV), aiming to reduce environmental impact and provide a more noble destination for these residues. Material characterization tests, analysis of concrete properties in both fresh and hardened states, and compressive strength evaluation were conducted. The results indicate that replacing up to 20% of natural coarse aggregate with RCV maintains concrete strength close to conventional concrete, while higher replacements result in significant reductions in strength.Item Elaboração de um Projeto Padrão de Escola para as Regiões Ribeirinhas(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014) HERMES, Fernando; OLIVEIRA, Dênio Ramam Carvalho deThe flood and ebb tide system in the Amazon causes numerous problems for riverside communities, disrupting the school year due to the flooding of permanently built schools in vulnerable areas. This work proposes two models of modern schools adapted to riverside conditions, which can float during floods and rest on a fixed concrete base during low water. These schools facilitate the relocation process in cases of erosion, preventing class interruptions and providing a suitable study environment for riverside students.Item Estudo de Caso do Abastecimento d’Água da Área Urbana do Município de Santarém no Pará(INSTITUTO DE TECNOLOGIA, 2015) ANDRADE, Elen Conceição Leal de; MENDES, Ronaldo Lopes Rodrigues; OLIVEIRA, Dênio Ramam Carvalho de; Prof Dr. Walter Barra JuniorThe study assesses water supply in the urban area of Santarém/PA from the users' perspective, highlighting issues such as the lack of water meters, water quality, and migration to private wells. Based on interviews with 612 households, the research revealed that 56.05% of respondents claim not to waste water, while 33% complain about frequent water shortages. The absence of treated water in approximately 20,000 households and the use of unprotected shallow wells are critical issues identified.Item Gestão do Lixo no Município de Jutaí/AM(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015) OLIVEIRA, Eleemira Maria de; OLIVEIRA, Dênio Ramam Carvalho deThis paper addresses the environmental impacts caused by the lack of sanitation, such as the final destination of waste, contamination of the water table, and diseases resulting from poor sanitation in the municipality of Jutaí-AM. A survey was conducted on the daily collection of garbage in Jutaí-AM, as well as an approach to waterborne diseases. It was found that the landfill is located in the urban area, causing degradation to the city's environment. The garbage is dumped in the middle of the city without any treatment, including medical waste, which is disposed of in the same location as domestic waste. The place where the garbage is deposited is frequented daily by various people, including children and the elderly. It is concluded that there is a need for the implementation of alternative actions for the treatment of solid waste, seeking solutions to the problems caused by the lack of adequate treatment of solid waste.Item Impactos do Programa PROSAMIM para os Ribeirinhos do Igarapé do Quarenta na Cidade de Manaus(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014) SEGUNDO, Ruth Ferreira; OLIVEIRA, Dênio Ramam Carvalho deThe dissertation analyzes the impacts of the Social and Environmental Program of the Manaus Streams (PROSAMIM) for the riverside dwellers of the Igarapé do Quarenta in the city of Manaus. The study addresses the importance of the program's implementation for the residents of the stream's margins, highlighting the main environmental impacts and the benefits that occurred after urbanization. The research uses a qualitative-quantitative methodology, with bibliographic analysis, field research, interviews, forms, photographic records, and participant observation. This article analyzes the integration of reverse logistics and environmental management in a tire repair company in the Industrial Hub of Manaus (PIM). The proposal aims to meet the needs of municipalities, respecting the desires of the population and promoting habitable conditions. The research addresses the importance of popular participation in urban planning, the review of relevant legislation, and the integration of sustainable environmental planning. The study highlights the need for democratic and inclusive management that considers local vocations and promotes sustainable regional development.Item Resíduos Sólidos da Cidade de Manaus: Uma Análise da Gestão no Bairro Zumbi dos Palmares(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014) SOUZA, Kelen Gomes de; OLIVEIRA, Dênio Ramam Carvalho deThis study aims to analyze the solid waste system management in the Zumbi neighborhood in the east of the city of Manaus. The methodological process used was through technical visits to the neighborhood, and bodies responsible for the management of municipal waste to create a database with the accompanying photographic record. The basic procedures and the possible impacts of packaging and disposal of waste produced in homes in the neighborhood were observed. The more worrying aspect in waste management in the Zumbi neighborhood is related to the waste disposed of improperly in the environment, as the public collection system covers only 42% of the neighborhood. The separate collection should be restored, thus reducing environmental impacts. In this sense, public interventions, administrative and integrated solid waste management, should be discussed and implemented in the neighborhood, for the solid waste management system in Zumbi neighborhood permeates weaknesses in all its activities, from production and packing, collection and final destination, but through an integrated system of public administration, private companies and population, all these negative aspects will be minimized and the environment preserved for future generations.Item Resistência à Flexão de Vigas de Concreto Armado Reforçadas com Fibra de Carbono(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015) MATOS, José Cristino Lima de; OLIVEIRA, Dênio Ramam Carvalho deThis work investigates the flexural resistance of reinforced concrete beams strengthened with carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP). The study presents a theoretical and experimental analysis of strengthened beams, highlighting the factors that influence the behavior and resistance of these structures. Thirty-seven tests of beams strengthened with CFRP were analyzed, and the results indicate that the flexural reinforcement ratio before and after strengthening is a determining factor for the performance of the beams. The study proposes a complete methodology for analyzing the behavior of the beams, aiming to maximize the efficiency of the strengthening.Item TÉCNICAS DE REFORÇO ESTRUTURAL PARA EDIFICAÇÕES ANTIGAS. Methods such as concrete jacketing, steel profiles, steel plate bonding, and carbon fiber-reinforced polymers (CFRP) were identified and analyzed. The case study of the revitalization of a historic building in Rio Branco - Acre demonstrated that the applied reinforcement technique increased the load-bearing capacity of the strengthened columns.Item Técnicas de Reforço Estrutural para Edificações Antigas: Estudo de Caso na Cidade de Rio Branco - Acre(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2013) AMORIM, Denis Cley de Souza; OLIVEIRA, Dênio Ramam Carvalho deThis study aimed to demonstrate the design and verification of calculating the NBR 6118 (ABNT, 2007) with their geometric characteristics, encasing armor, armor, and buckling resistance of the compression pillars centered pillars of reinforced concrete, with the major bibliographic techniques for structural reinforcement of concrete columns for old buildings, identifying the main methodologies and techniques used in Brazil and presenting the strengths and weaknesses of each technique: concrete jacketing, steel profiles, steel plate glued, blanket / carbon cloth, aramid and glass and polymers reinforced with carbon fiber (CFRP). The results obtained by comparative analysis of reinforcement performed in the case study "revitalization of the old house" indicated that the reinforcement technique was studied efficient because all reinforced parts had a greater bearing capacity than the original pillar without strengthening.
