    The study assessed the level of environmental awareness among students at Faculdade Estácio do Amazonas, focusing on Pedagogy, Administration, and Logistics courses. The research employed questionnaires and awareness-raising actions to analyze sustainable habits and environmental perceptions. The results highlighted the need for greater integration of environmental education in higher education, leading to the creation of an educational booklet and scientific articles.

    The work seeks to present human activities on the environment that have intensified over time, resulting in misery, social and economic exclusion, consumerism, waste and environmental degradation. It will be seen in the Introduction that education is being rethought today as a preparation for life. We must be prepared in every country to reshape education to promote attitudes and behaviors that carry a culture of sustainability. The justification of the work is to discuss Social Responsibility within the context of higher education, thus contributing to the construction of the concept of University Social Responsibility. The methodology adopted in this research presents its objectives and classification, which is distinguished by its ends as exploratory and descriptive, and by its means, as bibliographic and documentary about the HEI Extension Programs and Projects that develop Social Responsibility actions and Sustainable Development. Therefore, in the current context it is up to universities to train professionals / citizens, capable of producing knowledge that promotes the development of society, giving the social dimension the same relevance that has been given to the political and economic dimension. The university is among the various institutions of formal education, which is responsible for providing the highest degree of education, the highest, that is, education for maximum training and qualification of its citizens in solving and anticipating the problems that most affect.
