(Instituto de Ciências Exatas e Naturais, 2019) SOUZA, Delcilane Reis de; BRASIL, Davi do Socorro Barros
Environmental education in public high schools, as provided by Brazilian legislation, is still not widely practiced in an interdisciplinary manner. This study aimed to understand the importance of integrating environmental education through interdisciplinary teaching practices in high schools in the municipality of Itacoatiara-AM. The research was conducted in three public schools, with questionnaires administered to students and teachers. The results indicated that environmental education is addressed in an isolated manner, rather than interdisciplinary, and that there is a lack of teacher training in this area. It is concluded that schools need to create awareness tools for teachers and students, aiming at environmental conservation and a better quality of life.

(Instituto de Ciências Exatas e Naturais, 2019) SILVA, Adnilson Xavier da; BRASIL, Davi do Socorro Barros
Environmental education in indigenous public high schools, as provided by Brazilian legislation, not as an isolated subject but in an interdisciplinary perspective, is still a little-practiced modality. Thus, it is necessary that schools are sensitive to this issue, in the organization of their Political Pedagogical Project for the insertion of environmental education in an interdisciplinary way, aiming at an ecologically balanced environment for all. Therefore, the objective was to understand the importance of inserting Environmental Education through an interdisciplinary teaching practice, in the High School in the Indigenous Community of Vila de Betânia, Municipality of Santo Antônio do Içá - AM, so that there is applicability in the students' lives. The methodology used was descriptive bibliographic and documentary research. The research was carried out in a public indigenous high school, where questionnaires were applied to students and teachers with closed questions to understand the perception of teachers and students about environmental education in the school context for this modality. The next phase was the data analysis, which found that environmental education has been worked on in these schools, but in an isolated, non-interdisciplinary way as investigated in this study. It was also found that the percentage of students and teachers who are not interested in environmental issues is minimal. It was also evident that one of the difficulties of teachers is the lack of training in the area of environmental education, which is reflected in the large percentage when students responded that their attitudes destroy the environment. It was also evident that schools need to create awareness tools for teachers and students within environmental education for the conservation of the environment and a better quality of life for all citizens.
