This dissertation proposes improvements in the production process of a small apparel company in Manaus, using the Six Sigma DMAIC methodology. The study focused on standardizing processes, reducing material losses, and optimizing production. The application of the methodology covered the definition, measurement, and analysis phases, showing that DMAIC is compatible and efficient for small businesses in the apparel sector, ensuring the quality of products and services provided.

The current business environment requires that micro and small enterprises continuously improve their processes to remain competitive. However, many of these companies lack accessible methodologies for implementing process management. This study applies an adapted process management model using BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) to map, analyze, and optimize processes in a service company in Manaus. The methodology aims to simplify process management implementation, making it accessible to small businesses and demonstrating gains in operational efficiency and decision-making.
