Item Digital Technologies Review for Manufacturing Processes(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2022) PARENTE, Ricardo Silva SILVA, Italo Rodrigo Soares SIQUEIRA JUNIOR, Paulo Oliveira UHLMANN, Iracyanne Retto; LEITE, Jandecy CabralThe industrial processes transformation caused by Industry 4.0 is advancing in countries like China, Japan, Germany, and the United States. However, developing countries such as Brazil still face challenges in adapting to the digital era. This study presents a review of the main technologies used in smart manufacturing and the challenges of its implementation in Brazil. The research was based on 114 articles and two books collected from the Web of Science database. The results indicate that the primary challenges for Industry 4.0 adoption in Brazil include poor technological infrastructure, lack of investment in technology, and insufficient training of qualified professionals. Although the study focuses on the Brazilian scenario, its conclusions are applicable to other emerging countries, providing a general overview of concepts and practical applications developed by the international academic community.Item Use of FlexSim to Simulate Improvement Proposals in a Remote Control Production Line(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2022) RAPOSO, Katlen Araújo LEITE, Jandecy Cabral; LEITE, Jandecy CabralComputational simulation is a tool with great potential for reducing operating costs, as it allows modeling a process in a controllable environment, testing modifications, and analyzing results without necessarily changing the actual production structure. This study proposes productive scenarios through simulation aimed at eliminating non-compliant products due to the use of NC215 flux in the wave soldering process and increasing production capacity in a remote control manufacturing company located in the Industrial Hub of Manaus/AM. Using FlexSim software, data was collected regarding the current production process, and computational models were successfully verified and validated against real process data. The results identified the best proposed scenario for implementation.Item Application of the Six Sigma Methodology and Use of the DMAIC Method to Reduce the Loss Rate of Aluminium Cans in a Beverage Industry to Reduce Operational Costs: Case Study: Latax Refrigerantes Ltda(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2022) SANTOS, João Felipe Silva dos LEITE, Jandecy Cabral; LEITE, Jandecy CabralSix Sigma is an internationally recognized tool widely used to identify and implement improvements in an organization’s internal processes, aiming at reducing operational costs and increasing profit margins. This study demonstrates how the application of Six Sigma can assist in reducing operational costs by minimizing can losses in the production process through cause analysis and the implementation of action plans in an aluminum can soft drink production line. The DMAIC methodology (Define, Measure, Analyze, Implement, and Control) was used, along with statistical tools such as VOC (Voice of the Customer), Ishikawa Diagram, and SIPOC. The results indicate that, after implementing the proposed actions, the average can loss rate was reduced from 0.53% to 0.26%, resulting in an annual savings of approximately $6,926 for the company.Item Use of the DMAIC Tool: High Failure Rate in the Heat Sink Bolting Process(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2022) RAMOS, Juan Gabriel de Albuquerque LEITE, Jandecy Cabral; LEITE, Jandecy CabralThe DMAIC methodology has the potential to detect flaws in production processes and indicate improvements for better results. This study aims to demonstrate, through a case study, how the application of DMAIC in a manufacturing company can be an effective tool to leverage and improve production processes, reducing the failure rate in the heat sink bolting process. The research included a theoretical approach to quality management and continuous improvement, as well as the practical application of the methodology in an automotive parts company. The study concludes that DMAIC was effective in reducing losses and increasing profitability in the analyzed company.Item Implementation of ISO 50001 – Energy Management System in a Factory in the Electrical and Electronics Sector: Multi-Case Study(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2022) PIMENTEL, Ingrid Mara do Carmo Fernandes LEITE, Jandecy Cabral; LEITE, Jandecy CabralOrganizational competitiveness is increasingly linked to good environmental, social, and corporate governance practices. In this context, ISO 50001 has gained prominence for establishing guidelines for efficient energy management, contributing to reduced energy consumption and environmental impact. This case study presents the implementation of the ISO 50001 standard in a factory in the electrical and electronics sector at the Industrial Hub of Manaus. The applied methodology involved strategic planning, SWOT matrix, PDCA, and Hoshin Plan. The study demonstrates that certification provided operational improvements, increased energy efficiency, and organizational engagement, consolidating the company's sustainable management.Item The Impact of Pandemic in Supply Chain Management in an Electronic Industry(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2022) SANTOS, Hermes Silva ALENCAR, David Barbosa de SANCHES, Antônio Estanislau PINTO JÚNIOR, José Roberto Lira BARBOSA, Kleber Mantovanelli; LEITE, Jandecy CabralThe logistics, social, and economic impacts caused by the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic have unprecedentedly affected the supply chain of the electronics industry. Logistics played a crucial role in maintaining supply chain balance, despite facing challenges such as raw material shortages and high international freight costs. This case study analyzes the supply chain of an electronics industry in the Industrial Hub of Manaus, comparing the scenarios before and during the pandemic. Strategic tools such as SWOT analysis, Ishikawa diagram, and GUT matrix were used to map risks and propose mitigating actions. The results indicate that, despite the difficulties, the implementation of a crisis committee and efficient logistics management allowed business continuity and enhanced the maturity of the supply chain management process.Item Proposal of a Methodology of Management of the Purchasing Process and Communication with Other Areas(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2022) CHAVES, Jesus de Alencar ALENCAR, David Barbosa de BARBOSA, Kleber Mantovanelli SANCHES, Antônio Estanislau PINTO JÚNIOR, José Roberto Lira; LEITE, Jandecy CabralIn the current context of extreme competitiveness, companies should direct their efforts towards high service capacity at the lowest possible total cost. The entire logistics process is a decisive factor in business activity, and purchasing management must be aligned with the company's strategic objectives, acting in an integrated manner with other departments. This study proposes a methodological model for applying a compliance program and information security within companies to ensure transparency, ethics, and regulatory compliance. The research utilized tools such as SWOT analysis, 5W2H, and the PDCA action plan to map communication failures and suggest corrective actions. The results indicate that improvements in internal and external communication can enhance competitiveness and minimize operational risks.Item Application of Deep Neural Network in Intelligent System with Production Dashboard(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2022) RAMOS JUNIOR, Juarez da Silva LEITE, Jandecy Cabral GOMES, Marivan Silva PAULA, Railma Lima de CARVALHO, Michael da Silva SILVA, Ítalo Rodrigo Soares SIQUEIRA JUNIOR, Paulo Oliveira PARENTE, Ricardo Silva MIRANDA, Luís Gabryel dos Santos; LEITE, Jandecy CabralThe Lean Manufacturing process is a strategic methodology aimed at reducing production waste, ensuring product quality, minimizing delivery time, and reducing defects. However, the company analyzed lacks technologies that enable the effective implementation of this methodology. This study proposes the development of an Intelligent Lean Manufacturing System based on the requirements of a Manufacturing Execution System (MES), assisting decision-making in production control and management through technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), and Embedded Systems.
