Barrido de Frecuencia en Coordenadas de Fase para Sistemas Desequilibrados
(INSTITUTO DE TECNOLOGIA, 2012) CABRAL LEITE, Jandeey; TOSTES, Maria Emilia de Lima; PÉREZ ABRIL, Ignacio; MEDEIROS, Adelson Bezerra de; AZEVEDO, Manoel Socorro Santos; BEZERRA, Ubiratan Holanda; MAGALHÃES, Edilson Marques
The paper develops a phase-coordinates model for analyzing unbalanced electrical networks, enabling the specification of single-phase or three-phase harmonic injections of any sequence. The model is applied to a four-wire delta system, demonstrating its ability to represent structural asymmetries and identify resonances at different frequencies.

Synchronous generators undergo frequent start-stop cycles due to maintenance or external factors, causing thermal variations that affect stator insulation. This study, conducted at the Balbina hydroelectric plant in Amazonas, Brazil, examines insulation aging trends in stators through partial discharge testing. Results indicate that continuous operation increases the generators’ lifespan.

Otimização Multiobjetivo de Filtros Harmônicos Passivos para Instalações Industriais Usando Técnicas de NSGA-II
(INSTITUTO DE TECNOLOGIA, 2015) LEITE, Jandecy Cabral; ABRIL, Ignacio Perez; AZEVEDO, Manoel Socorro Santos; MEDEIROS, Adelson Bezerra de; NASCIMENTO, Manoel Henrique Reis; VALENZUELA, Walter Andres Vermehren; Prof. Dr. Waldinei Rosa Monteiro.
This paper presents a mathematical method and a computational tool for the selection and sizing of passive harmonic filters in industrial systems using the NSGA-II genetic algorithm. The goal is to maximize the economic benefits of the project, minimize harmonic distortion in the PCC current and bus voltages, and comply with power quality standards (ANEEL and IEEE 519-92). The results demonstrate the method's effectiveness in determining filter parameters, selecting configurations, and addressing multiple operational scenarios.

Planning Passive Filters using NSGA II for Industry Applications
(INSTITUTO DE TECNOLOGIA, 2014) LEITE, Jandecy Cabral; SILVA, Waterloo Ferreira da; CASTRO, Anderson de Oliveira; NOGUEIRA, Rildo de Mendonça; AZEVEDO, Manoel Socorro Santos; Prof. Dra. ADRIANA RIBEIRO CARNEIRO FOLADOR
This paper presents a multi-objective optimization approach for planning passive harmonic filters in industrial systems using the NSGA-II genetic algorithm. The method maximizes reactive power compensation benefits, minimizes harmonic distortion in the PCC current and bus voltages, and complies with power quality standards. The algorithm determines the filters' location, configuration, and parameters, demonstrating effectiveness in a practical example.

Processamento Primário da Informação Gerada por Registradores de Perturbações
(INSTITUTO DE TECNOLOGIA, 2014) AZEVEDO, Manoel Socorro Santos; HORTA, Roberto Luis Ballesteros; LEITE, Jandecy Cabral; BEZERRA, Ubiratan Holanda; TOSTES, Maria Emília de Lima; MAGALHÃES, Edilson Marques
The study focuses on the primary processing of data generated by Digital Fault Recorders (DFRs) in electrical systems, aiming to streamline the analysis of oscillographic records for operators and specialists. Using LabVIEW and the COMTRADE standard, a modular software was developed for data acquisition, processing, storage, and interactive visualization. The system enables quick disturbance searches and lays the groundwork for implementing computational intelligence (CI) techniques to aid decision-making.

Despacho Econômico e Ambiental de Energia Elétrica Usando Técnicas Computacionais em LabVIEW: Uma Abordagem Multiobjetivo para Sistemas de Geração Termelétrica
(INSTITUTO DE TECNOLOGIA, 2013) AZEVEDO, Raimundo Edney dos Santos; BEZERRA, Ubiratan Holanda; LEITE, Jandecy Cabral; AZEVEDO, Manoel Socorro Santos; NETO, Vilmar Domingos da Silva; MAGALHÃES, Edilson Marques
This paper proposes an analytical strategy based on mathematical models to address the load dispatch problem in thermal power plants, simultaneously considering economic and environmental criteria. Using the computational tool LabVIEW, the study develops a multi-objective model that minimizes operational costs and pollutant emissions (SO₂ and NOₓ) while meeting energy demand. The results demonstrate the approach's effectiveness across different load scenarios, highlighting solutions that balance energy efficiency and environmental impact reduction.
