Item Multicriteria design of passive harmonic filters for industrial installations using evolutionary computation techniques(INSTITUTO DE TECNOLOGIA, 2015) LEITE, Jandecy Cabral; ABRIL, Ignácio Perez; AZEVEDO, Manoel Socorro Santos; NASCIMENTO, Manoel Henrique Reis do; MORAES, Nadime Mustafa; REIS, Ana Maria; Profa. Dra. Maria Adrina Paixão de Souza da Silva. This article presents a mathematical method and a computational tool based on Evolutionary Computation (NSGA II) for the multicriteria design of passive harmonic filters in industrial electrical systems. Focused on the Industrial Pole of Manaus (PIM), the study frames the harmonic compensation design as a multi-objective optimization problem, balancing harmonic distortion reduction with economic viability under Brazilian energy tariff structures. The developed tool automatically selects filter configurations and parameters, incorporating standards such as PRODIST-Module 8 and IEEE 519-92. Results demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach.Item Naive Bayes applied impacts harmonic analysis in industrial electrical systems(INSTITUTO DE TECNOLOGIA, 2015) SILVA, Waterloo Ferreira da; NOGUEIRA, Rildo de Mendonça; CASTRO, Anderson; SANTANA, Ádamo L.; TOSTES, Maria Emília de Lima; Profa. Dra. Maria Adrina Paixão de Souza da Silva. This paper applies the Naive Bayes data mining technique to analyze the impact of current harmonic distortion in an industrial facility located in the Manaus Industrial Pole. During a week-long measurement campaign, data were collected from circuits such as compressors, air conditioning systems, and tablet and notebook testing lines. Using tools like Weka and Genie, the analysis identified correlations between specific harmonic orders and increases in total harmonic distortion of voltage (THDv), with the 7th-order harmonic having the highest impact.Item Proposal of Smart Grids in Communities of Amazonas State(INSTITUTO DE TECNOLOGIA, 2015) MACIEL, Lívia Guimarães; BENITEZ PINA, Israel Francisco; Jandecy Cabral LeiteThe purpose of this article is to discuss the potential and the importance of using renewable energy for communities in the State of Amazonas. It proposes the integration of multiple sources of power generation in hybrid systems to complement hydroelectric and thermoelectric generation, diversifying the electric park. A smart grid is proposed using the MaSE methodology for formal design and GHENeSys hierarchical Petri nets to study generation planning dynamics, aiming to increase efficiency and reduce system losses.Item Study of Quality and Reliability of Welding Process Reflow Component Technology BGA(INSTITUTO DE TECNOLOGIA, 2015) COSTA, Robson Marques; LEITE, Jandecy Cabral; VIEIRA, Antonio da Silva; LOPES, Raimundo Valdan Pereira; FUJIYAMA, Roberto Tetsuo; Prof. Dr. Carlos Tavares da Costa JúniorThis study analyzed the quality and reliability of the BGA component Reflow soldering process in notebook motherboard manufacturing. Using a qualitative-quantitative approach via case study methodology, cross-section and X-ray analyses were conducted to evaluate alignment, cracks, and voids. The findings confirmed compliance with international standards IPC-A-610E and IPC-7095B, indicating the process is reliable and cost-effective for industrial application.Item Harmonic Impact analysis coming from the manufacturing processes of a Eletroeletrônica Industry Using KDD and Decision Trees(INSTITUTO DE TECNOLOGIA, 2015) NOGUEIRA, Rildo de Mendonça; OLIVEIRA, Edson Farias de; SILVA, Waterloo Ferreira da; SANTANA, Ádamo L.; TOSTES, Maria Emília de Lima; SOARES, Thiago Mota; Profa. Dra. Maria Adrina Paixão de Souza da Silva. The study analyzes the impact of harmonic distortions generated by non-linear loads (computers, notebooks, and tablets) on the electrical grid of an electronics industry in Manaus. Using the KDD (Knowledge Discovery in Databases) methodology and decision trees, data were collected over a week at different points in the production process. The results identified that the 5th and 7th order harmonics, originating from the tablet production line, contributed the most to the total harmonic distortion of voltage (THDv) at the common coupling point (PCC). The decision tree technique proved effective in classifying and prioritizing distortion sources, aiding in decision-making for impact mitigation.Item Industrial Multivariate Explorer: A solution with Matlab for time series mining(INSTITUTO DE TECNOLOGIA, 2015) VÁZQUEZ SEISDEDOS, Luis; AGUILERA CASTILLO, Alvaro; DIAZ MARTINEZ, David; RAMIS ROSALES, Rolando; RODRIGUEZ PEREZ, Jose Manuel; Prof. Dr. Carlos Tavares da Costa JúniorThe design and features of a Matlab application supporting applied research in time series computing are presented. The tool enables visualization of up to eight signals, selection of short time windows, and computation of statistics that aid in static and dynamic modeling. It is an open application that allows the inclusion of new features and is exemplified using real-time series from a 250 MW thermal power plant and simulated data via Simulink.Item Barrido de Frecuencia en Coordenadas de Fase para Sistemas Desequilibrados(INSTITUTO DE TECNOLOGIA, 2012) CABRAL LEITE, Jandeey; TOSTES, Maria Emilia de Lima; PÉREZ ABRIL, Ignacio; MEDEIROS, Adelson Bezerra de; AZEVEDO, Manoel Socorro Santos; BEZERRA, Ubiratan Holanda; MAGALHÃES, Edilson MarquesThe paper develops a phase-coordinates model for analyzing unbalanced electrical networks, enabling the specification of single-phase or three-phase harmonic injections of any sequence. The model is applied to a four-wire delta system, demonstrating its ability to represent structural asymmetries and identify resonances at different frequencies. Fernanda Souza do NascimentoThis article presents a proposal for an electric measurement system for fuel tanks in thermoelectric plants, replacing the traditional manual method that shows inaccuracies. The proposed technology aims to enhance the logistics of fuel supply—critical for thermoelectric plant operation—through an automated system using capacitive probes, offering greater precision, reliability, and continuous monitoring of fuel levels.Item Mejoramiento de los índices de eficiencia energética en sistemas de climatización en el territorio de Manaus(INSTITUTO DE TECNOLOGIA, 2012) DA SILVA, Jorge Lucio; LEITE, Jandecy Cabral; DE LEÓN BENITEZ, Carlos Alberto; BERALDO HERRANDÉZ, Francisco; MAGALHÃES, Edilson MarquesThe climate control systems are among the most significant energy loads in industrial, residential, and service facilities. This research is based on a diagnostic study carried out in the Industrial Pole of Manaus, employing Brazilian national standards as reference models. As an improvement strategy, the adoption of high-efficiency air conditioning systems is proposed to reduce energy consumption.Item Melhor aproveitamento da energia elétrica na indústria(INSTITUTO DE TECNOLOGIA, 2014) SOARES, Gerdson Tanaka; TOSTES, Maria Emília de Lima; SOARES, Thiago Mota; Profª.
