Item Avaliação Técnico-Econômica do Uso de Resíduos de Concreto como Parte de uma Ação da Implementação de Gerenciamento de Resíduos Sólidos em uma Empresa(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2022) ARAÚJO, Márcio Denis Vieira de; BRAGA, Eduardo de MagalhãesThe study evaluates the technical-economic feasibility of reusing concrete waste in a precast concrete factory, aiming to implement a solid waste management system. The research shows that reusing the waste generates cost savings and reduces environmental impacts, with a return on investment in approximately nine months.Item Aplicação da Extrapolação de Richardson na Otimização de Problemas em Fluidodinâmica Computacional(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2020) SANTOS, Alexandre Marcus Madeira; MAGNO, Rui Nelson OtoniThe present work aims to investigate the application of the Richardson Extrapolation (ER) method as an alternative to reduce the simulation time of a specific CFD problem, which is related to a convective and diffusive problem. The geometry under study was built in the Blender software. The initial and boundary conditions were set using the BlenderFDS program, the calculation was done with a CFD code called Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS), the results were extracted with Smokeview software. In addition, Richardson extrapolation code was developed in the Fortran programming language. Flow field properties such as specific mass, pressure, temperature and velocity were calculated for three mesh sizes with and without the RE method. The extrapolated results show promise for maintaining accuracy at a lower computational cost.Item CIDADES INTELIGENTES: PRINCIPAIS RANKINGS E PROPOSTAS DE MELHORIA PARA SÃO LUÍS, MARANHÃO(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2020) COSTA, Belisa Souza; BATISTA, Clauderino da Silva; COSTA, Sueli de SouzaThe concept of smart city has been spread as an adequate place for people to live, where technological resources cooperate with each other to generate well-being, social inclusion, and participation of its inhabitants, in addition to the sustainability of the environment. This work analyzes the main rankings that measure the conditions of cities and classifies them as to the position between smart cities, aiming at improvement proposals for the city of São Luís, facing the reality of these cities, seeking quality of life, sustainability, and respect for the environment. The city of Curitiba is used as a national reference, considered first in 2018 in the Connected Smart Cities Ranking, while São Luís was not among the analyzed positions. An intervention plan is proposed to make São Luís more competitive in terms of urban mobility, environment, health, technology and innovation, and security.Item Inferência Fuzzy para Avaliação da Maturidade em Gerenciamento de Projetos Baseado no Modelo MMGP(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2020) MACAMBIRA, Harold Maia; NASCIMENTO, Manoel Henrique ReisThis research presents a fuzzy inference model for evaluating maturity in project management based on the MMGP model. The aim is to improve the accuracy of maturity assessment, making the results more assertive and directing initiatives correctly. The MMGP model was adapted with the application of fuzzy logic, resulting in a more precise and smoothed analysis. The study was applied in a company, comparing the results of the MMGP model with the MMGP+Fuzzy model, demonstrating that fuzzy logic provides a more accurate and less subjective evaluation.Item Processo de Estabelecimento de Cultivo in vitro de Plântulas de Simaba cedron Planch. (Simaroubaceae)(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2020) LIRA, Marcia Santos de Freitas; LEITE, Jandecy CabralSimaba cedron, popularly known as "cedron", is largely used for fever and snake bites. Its seeds are used in the treatment of stomach problems and liver infections. The fruits are used for the treatment of pain and malaria while its bark is an antispasmodic. The species is generally propagated through seeds, but with limited success due to the low viability of the seeds. This work aimed to develop the first stage of the in vitro cultivation process of Simaba cedron seedlings, evaluating the influence of two culture media (MS and WPM) on the establishment and development of the seedlings. The results showed that the MS medium was more effective, with a multiplication rate of 8.0:1 and 75% rooting.Item Práticas de Gestão da Qualidade e Desempenho Empresarial nas Organizações através do Programa de Certificação de Empresas (PROCEM) do Maranhão(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2020) MALUF, Rachid Santos; MAGNO, Rui Nelson OtoniThe study analyzes the quality management practices and business performance acquired by companies when implementing a quality management system, seeking certification and recertification in the Company Certification Program (PROCEM) of Maranhão. The research, of a quantitative nature, was conducted with 40 companies that had at least three years of participation in the program. The results indicate that companies significantly improved their performance after certification, especially regarding production processes, delivery times, supplier relationships, customer satisfaction, and integration with other program modules. Quality management is treated as a source of competitive advantage, being applied as a basis for differentiation in organizations.Item A Importância do Processo de Aplicação do Compliance como Ferramenta Estratégica na Gestão de uma Organização do Terceiro Setor(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2021) MELO, Maria Lidelmar Carvalho de; LEITE, Jandecy CabralAdequacy of integrity models that meet the rules that respect the current legislation has become fundamental in the management of organizations as a strategic form, mainly in entities with public and non-profit purposes, in a non-governmental scope. Therefore, the objective is to implement a model for the application of the compliance program in a Third Sector institution. In this way, the present study can be considered in an exploratory, applied and qualitative way, in two aspects, bibliographic research and case study, the data collection was through a meeting and interview with the company's professionals, reporting on the importance of the theme. The results showed the main tools and compliance mechanism, proposing actions that can be used in practice with the purpose of providing a broad view of the functioning of the proposed model, with transparency and ethics, thus increasing the competitiveness of the business.Item Análise da Viabilidade Econômico-Financeira nos Processos de Importação para Pesquisa Científica e Tecnológica em uma Instituição de Ensino Federal(Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Amazonas, 2020) DOSSENA, Sandra Maria; QUARESMA, João Nazareno NonatoThe study analyzes the economic-financial viability of import processes for goods and inputs destined for scientific and technological research in a federal educational institution, specifically the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Amazonas (IFAM), Manaus Industrial District Campus (CMDI). The research demonstrates that importing these goods resulted in savings of approximately 44% compared to purchases in the national market, totaling R$ 336,298.97 in savings from 2010 to 2019. The methodology used was applied in nature, with a qualitative-quantitative approach and based on documentary research. The study also proposes a flowchart to facilitate import processes at the institution.Item Aplicação de Ferramentas de Manufatura Enxuta em Processo de Montagem de Motocicletas no Polo Industrial de Manaus(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2020) DIMARIO, Raphael Kinzu; QUARESMA, João Nazareno NonatoThe target of this research is to highlight the application of Lean Manufacturing tools in the motorcycle assembly process. Productivity increase, line stoppage control, and 5S methodology are expected to be improved. The project was developed starting from literature research and case study, with direct observation in the shop floor collecting all data and analysis of them. Significant achievements were reached during and at the end of this project. It was increased 15% of 5S score. Line stoppage was reduced by 52% with important actions like standardization and homologation of a new method of material control. Significant increase of 37.5% in productivity and capacity raised the company to the next level. As an indirect result, a reduction of R$9,900/year in extra shipments due to material control improvement was achieved.
