Item Proposição de uma Nova Lei de Crescimento para Ligas do Sistema Monotético(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2014) BRAGA, José Francisco Aparecido; SILVA, Maria Adrina Paixão de Souza daMonotectic alloys show promising applications in wear-resistant automotive components. This study proposes a new growth law for monotectic alloy systems, analyzing experimental results of unidirectional solidification under transient conditions. Growth laws as a function of position and velocity were established, allowing the evaluation of factors such as gravity and solute type on microstructure formation. The results indicate that monotectic growth does not follow the classical eutectic model, being significantly influenced by thermocapillary convection.Item Otimização da Junta Soldada em Dutos de Aço Carbono Submetida a Corrosão Sob Tensão(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2015) SILVA, Alan Souza da; BRAGA, Eduardo de MagalhãesThis study aims to reduce the number of cracks in carbon steel pipe welds carrying poor liquor at 174°C, minimizing the risk of accidents and repair interventions. New pipelines were prepared using stainless steel filler metal, enhancing resistance to stress corrosion cracking. The results showed no cracks in the welded joints, highlighting the need to standardize welding procedures at Hydro Alunorte for cases susceptible to stress corrosion.Item Processo de Soldagem na Fabricação de Placas de Circuito Eletrônico(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2017) SILVA, Francisneto Guimarães da; BRAGA, Eduardo MagalhãesThis project addresses the study of welding science of electronic components on printed circuit boards, the impact on quality, and its effect on the life cycle of the product. Welding is the joining process, grouping, and fastening materials. In this project, we will explore the process of welding by fusion, heating the metal alloys that enable the joining of parts and components. The proposal consists of applying the methodology of study cases of success and unsuccessful in the welding process and its consequencesItem Comparação Entre os Diferentes Softwares para Projetos de Plantas Fotovoltaicas. Estudo de Caso.(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2017) MENEZES JÚNIOR, Fernando Valente de; MOYA RODRÍGUEZ, Jorge LaureanoDue to the need to seek new and diverse energy alternatives, photovoltaic energy stands out for the amount of clean energy received on our planet through solar rays. This study focuses on the municipality of Itacoatiara-AM, where software for evaluating photovoltaic plant projections is compared. The software PVSyst, RETScreen, and System Advisor Model were chosen for this comparison. PVSyst covers system design and performance, RETScreen analyzes financial performance and project risks, and SAM facilitates performance and financial analysis. The results showed minimal variations between the software and a great potential for energy generation in the studied regionItem Aplicação da Lógica Fuzzy na Gestão de Manutenção de Falhas de Soldagem SMD em Processos Produtivos Automatizados – Estudo de Caso(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2016) SOARES, Erivan Glaucio Fleury da Costa; OLIVEIRA, Kleber BittencourtThe present study aims to present the use of fuzzy logic to reduce the subjectivity of options and judgments in maintenance management in automated production processes, focusing on the occurrence of welding failures (SMD). For this purpose, an exploratory and descriptive case study was adopted, analyzing data collected between January 2015 and January 2016. The research employed tools such as the Ishikawa Diagram, Pareto Diagram, and Variable Control Chart to highlight the main defects. It was concluded that after system modeling and applying fuzzy logic concepts, there was a significant reduction in failures, greater understanding of phenomena, and effective solutions to avoid recurrencesItem INCORPORAÇÃO DE NANOTUBOS DE CARBONO EM SUPERFÍCIE DE LIGAS DE ALUMÍNIO A6101 TREFILADO(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2015) RODRIGUES, Fabrício Augusto dos Santos; REIS, Marcos Allan Leite dosThis work presents a new proposal for improvements in the mechanical and electrical properties of wires alloy 6101 with the incorporation of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) by chemical attack by acid and heat treatment process solubilization followed by quenching and artificial aging. The carbon nanotubes used were characterized by Raman spectroscopy, thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The alloy incorporated with (CNTs) was characterized by tension and electrical resistivity test, as well as Raman and SEM spectroscopy, and obtained significant changes in the mechanical and electrical properties of the wires, with tensile strength 34% higher than in wire that were only heat treated (TT) and 30.80% higher compared to the TT wire with graphite powder. The resistivity of the merged samples decreased by 13.7% compared to wireless CNTs. This process produced a reinforced wire and low resistivity, which can be used in various sectors, especially in networks of electric transmission and distribution.Item INFLUÊNCIA DA ADIÇÃO DE RESÍDUO DE MÁRMORE E GRANITO EM COMPÓSITOS DE MATRIZ POLIMÉRICA REFORÇADOS COM FIBRA DE COCO(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2016) RODRIGUES, Diego Nery; SOUZA, José Antônio da SilvaThis study aimed to produce composites with an unsaturated isophthalic polyester resin matrix, using marble and granite waste as filler and coconut fiber with and without alkaline treatment. The composites were manually fabricated (hand lay-up) and evaluated for physical, mechanical, and flammability properties. The results showed that the addition of waste increased the apparent bulk density, while the coconut fiber influenced water absorption and mechanical properties. The alkaline treatment of the fiber improved adhesion to the matrix, but the composites did not meet the UL94 flammability criteria.Item Incorporação de escória de alto-forno em cerâmica vermelha para produção de blocos de vedação(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2018) SILVA, Maria Celis Pinheiro da; CÂNDIDO, Verônica ScarpiniThe use of residues in clay-based composites has been used for the production of ceramic materials. It has recently been extensively researched for presenting significant results in its physical and chemical properties. The purpose of this work is to analyze the efficiency of the incorporation of 10%, 20%, 30% by weight of blast furnace slag originating from steel mills in the State of Pará, in the clayey clay composed of strong clay and weak clay yielded by Menegalli ceramics, located in the municipality of São Miguel do Guamá, to produce sealing blocks.Item Metodologia para Medição de Tensões Residuais na Região Soldada por Centelhamento em Trilhos Ferroviários(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2018) OLIVEIRA, Brás Senra de; REIS, Marcos Allan Leite dosRailway rails are purchased in 24-meter pieces and welded to larger bars, up to 360 meters, before being installed on track. These welds, when in service, suffer deformations that can lead to the fracture of the welded joint. This work aims to present a methodology to measure residual stresses in the flash butt welded zone on rails. The rails used were hardness level greater than 370 HB, carbon content approximately 0.79%. The rails were welded through flash butt process, carried out by the stationary equipment Schlatter GAAS 80. The technologies currently applied for the measurement of residual stress demands destructive or semi-destructive tests. This dissertation pursues a non-destructive technology capable of being applied in the field for the measurement of residual stresses on installed rails. The technology used to measure residual stress was x-ray diffraction, the equipment used to measure the residual stresses was the X-Stress 3000 analyzer. The results showed residual stresses in the welded zone, where specific zones of tensile stresses are presented near the center, and values of 391 MPa close to the center of the weld joint, and compressive stress was noted as it moved away from the weld center in values close to -166 MPa. There was compatibility with the available bibliography on the subject and, therefore, the technology shows great potential to be applied on railway rails.Item Análise da Usinabilidade da Liga Al-7%Si Solidificada em um Sistema Unidirecional Horizontal(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014) GUIMARÃES, Charles Bispo; SILVA, Maria Adrina Paixão de Souza daMachining is probably the most widely used manufacturing process, and metals and alloys form a large percentage of machined materials. During the machining process, a considerable amount of the machine energy is transferred into heat, and the cutting temperature is of fundamental importance. This research investigates the influence of solidification thermal parameters and the secondary dendritic arm spacing (λ2) of an Al-7wt%Si alloy solidified on a transient horizontal directional device on the cutting temperatures during turning bleeding. Experimental power function laws relating cutting temperature with cooling rate, solidification rate, and secondary dendrite arm spacing were developed.
