Through an exploratory and descriptive case study, tools such as Ishikawa Diagram, 5W2H, and PDCA were applied, focusing on the "no power" defect. The results showed improvements in production volume and enhanced synergy among company sectors, highlighting the effectiveness of quality tools in managing process improvements.Item Aumento da Produtividade: Utilizando a Metodologia Six Sigma e Lógica Fuzzy, um Estudo de Caso em uma Empresa do Pólo Industrial de Manaus – PIM.(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011) FERREIRA, Marcela Seixas.; SILVA, Orlando Fonseca. This study uses Six Sigma methodology in order to increase the productivity of the Line of LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) in a factory in the Pólo Industrial de Manaus - PIM and a fuzzy inference system to measure the increase of productivity, where we identified several parameters based on the Six Sigma methodology. Among which, according to the degree of relevance of specialists in this study, we can highlight: waste, production capacity and time study. Emphasizing further that the proposed system is of great importance to practitioners and researchers of production management, who want results that reduce costs and therefore increase profits of the organization.Item Aplicação das Metodologias Lean no Processo da Gestão de Combustível na Estrada de Ferro Carajás(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2019) SILVA, Thiago Ferreira; MAGALHÃES, Edilson Marques; VIEGAS, Bruno MarquesThis dissertation takes place in the fuel management of Vale S/A railroad. As the work is developed, the project phases are guided according to diagnostics, applying a cyclical and continuous improvement along with the methodologies of study for the problems encountered. In view of this, we sought to implement a continuous process improvement project for critical fuel management activities through lean tools, in order to respect the principle of employing routines, easily communicable and understood by everyone in the organization. The main results are: team engagement from 32% to 64% (staff participation in the development of improvements), reflecting the increased problem resolution of the area (794 improvements) and reduction of supply time by 16%, increase productivity by 30% of the supply flow, and practice innovation in the method of training procedures, reducing operating costs and providing quality processes.Item Estudo de Caso da Aplicação do Lean Manufacturing no Processo de Fabricação de Indústria Moveleira na Região Metropolitana de Belém(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2018) TEIXEIRA, Marcus Paulo Coelho; BRAGA, Eduardo de MagalhãesThis paper aims to demonstrate the applicability of lean manufacturing in a furniture industry in the metropolitan region of Belém, which has several chronic problems related to non-productivity, especially because it is small and family-based. Lean manufacturing, as a production philosophy, combats the waste of people, processes, and products (3P's). This study analyzes its tools and applications in production processes, showing through an established method the problems related to low productivity, waste, their causes, and possible solutions. The results highlight the viability of lean manufacturing, with a 60% reduction in handling waste and a productivity increase of around 40%.Item Aplicação do Método Lean no Processo de Cadeia de Manutenção(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2020) CAVALCANTE, Milca Daniele Marques; ESTUMANO, Diego CardosoWith the fourth industrial revolution underway and a globalized market, organizations must be agile and flexible to meet customer requirements and needs. This work aims to develop an analysis of the application of Lean Manufacturing tools in the management of Maintenance Planning and Control (PCM) of a mining company. The study was based on a diagnosis of the initial situation of the PCM, in which low adherence to some indicators was identified, as well as the lack of a problem-solving method. Based on this, a methodology was developed to evaluate the indicators after the implementation of the shop floor and routine management tools (FMDS, kaizen, and Andon). With the implementation of these tools, consistent results were achieved, presented in graphs, demonstrating the effectiveness of the Lean Manufacturing philosophy in the continuous improvement of maintenance processes.Item Implantação de um Novo Layout de uma Linha de Montagem de Motocicletas Estruturado a partir da Metodologia MASP e Ferramentas Lean Manufacturing(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2021) OLIVEIRA, Edyones Barros de; MAGNO, Rui Nelson OtoniThis study aims to approach the implementation of a new layout of manufacturing process for high displacement motorcycles using the MASP methodology and Lean Manufacturing tools as a facilitator to adapt to market oscillations.
