    A competitividade global e a complexidade produtiva nas indústrias modernas destacam a necessidade de métodos para melhorar eficiência e produtividade. A modernização industrial enfrenta desafios como processos complexos, variabilidade da demanda e limitações de recursos, exigindo soluções rápidas e assertivas para evitar ineficiências e perda de competitividade. No Brasil, o Polo Industrial de Manaus (PIM) exemplifica como metodologias e ferramentas como Lean Manufacturing, gráfico de Yamazumi, Ishikawa, Balanceamento de Linha, 5 Porquês, 5W2H, Matriz Básica ajudam a superar custos logísticos e pressões regulatórias, otimizando recursos e demandas. Juntamente com o Planejamento da Produção, essas metodologias e ferramentas minimizam custos, maximizam produtividade, eliminam desperdícios e gargalos, aumentando a competitividade. Focando na fabricação de caixas acústicas, esta pesquisa qualitativa, exploratória, através de um estudo de caso com realização de pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, identificou práticas para otimizar processos e resolver problemas, gerando melhorias na taxa de produção com aumento de 21,9% na capacidade produtiva e da eficiência da mão de obra com uma redução de 10,7% no número de operadores na linha, gerando um impacto positivo nos resultados empresariais.

    Uso da metodologia e ferramentas Lean na gestão da produção para melhoria da eficiência do processo produtivo – estudo de caso em uma empresa do PIM

    Due to global competitiveness and production complexity in modern industries, the need for methods to improve efficiency and productivity is highlighted. Given the growing need for industrial modernization, challenges such as process complexity, demand variability and resource limitations, there is a need for fast and assertive solutions, at the risk of inefficiencies and loss of competitiveness. In Brazil, the Manaus Industrial Park (PIM) is an example of how methodologies and tools, such as Lean Manufacturing and VSM, help to overcome challenges such as logistics costs and regulatory pressures, optimizing resources and meeting demand efficiently, together with Production Planning, defining strategies and coordinating operations to minimize costs and maximize productivity. The use of Quality and Production Management methodologies and tools are essential to improve production processes and ensure greater control, as well as focusing on eliminating waste and variations, identifying bottlenecks and optimizing flow. These methodologies and tools combined increase efficiency, improve quality and reduce costs, directly contributing to the competitiveness of companies in the global market. Focusing on the speaker manufacturing industry, the research, conducted in the form of a case study with a qualitative approach, explores the identification of practices to optimize production processes together with production planning, so that they can also be used in problem-solving, to maximize results and the impacts generated for the company. Through the application of these practices, improvements were achieved in the production rate and labor indicators used.

    Desenvolvimento de uma Aplicação Web Voltada para Monitoramento Emocional dos Pacientes em Saúde Mental para Avaliar a Eficácia dos Tratamentos

    The development and use of web systems for mental health monitoring raise important ethical questions that must be considered by professionals and researchers involved in this area. Literature review is a useful methodology for investigating these questions, allowing for a comprehensive and up-to-date analysis of existing studies. The main ethical challenges related to the use of web systems for mental health monitoring include the collection and use of sensitive data, the lack of regulation and the possibility of discrimination and stigmatization of users. It is essential that the developers and professionals involved adopt practices and policies that promote the protection of users' rights and transparency in the use of data. Furthermore, it is important that research is carried out to assess the impact of these systems on the well-being of users and the quality of mental health services. The benefits and risks of online mental health monitoring must be carefully evaluated, and users' privacy and confidentiality must be protected. The ethics of online mental health monitoring require a deeper understanding of privacy and informed consent issues. Therefore, it is essential that professionals and researchers in this area continue to investigate and discuss ethical issues related to the use of web systems for mental health monitoring, in order to guarantee their effectiveness and safety, as well as respect for users' rights and privacy​

    Development of a New Layout for Serial Labels to Reduce Interruptions in TV Lines Caused by Difficulty Reading Barcodes

    With the advent of new technologies and increasing market demand, companies are continuously looking for ways to improve the efficiency of their production processes by eliminating waste and reducing rework. This study presents a proposal for redesigning serial labels used in the television production process, aiming to minimize interruptions caused by barcode reading failures. Quality tools such as PDCA, Brainstorming, 5W2H, Ishikawa Diagram, and the 5 Whys were applied to identify failure causes and propose effective solutions. The implementation of the new label layout significantly reduced line stoppages and improved the accuracy of collected information, contributing to the efficiency of the production flow.

    Uso das ferramentas da qualidade na otimização do processo produtivo em laboratório de próteses dentárias

    This article demonstrates the importance of a management and optimization project in the production processes of a dental prosthetics laboratory. It explores the use of quality tools and their contributions to improvement works, enhancing product quality and production flow. Strategic points were restructured by managing change projects, ensuring each directive was aimed at successful planning. Focused on a complete transformation, each department experienced changes, resulting in improvements in personnel, production, finances, and strategic management, aiming to secure new contracts and expand the client and supplier portfolio.

    Fuzzy Methodology Applied in the Evaluation of the Quality of Hospital Services. Case Study in a Hospital in Amazonas.

    Currently, there is an important challenge for hospital companies, which is to offer their services with the highest quality to their customers. Meeting this demand requires more efforts from public or private organizations to provide quality services offered to customers who are more demanding and interested not only in cost but in the quality of the product or service offered. Therefore, guaranteeing in the market a way to evaluate the quality of services to monitor the quality of service according to customer expectations is essential to create competitive advantages. In this context, a private hospital in Manaus was chosen as the object of study, aiming to know the quality of the services offered by the hospital from the customers' perspective, identifying the relevant positive and negative aspects so that the hospital can act more precisely on the points that enable it to achieve excellence in customer service and acquire more competitiveness. For this, a model was developed to evaluate the quality of private hospital services using the Fuzzy inference system, based on the SERVQUAL scale developed by Parasuraman, Zeithaml, and Berry in 1994. The results made it possible to evaluate the quality of customer service, which reached an index of 82.7%, thus identifying the level of customer satisfaction, highlighting the negative points, essential information for managers to implement appropriate improvements.

    Uso de ferramentas computacionais e de qualidade na melhoria de design de monitores de LCD

    This dissertation addresses the improvement of LCD monitor design using computational and quality tools. The research is justified by the continuous need for innovation and enhancement of these devices to meet the growing demands for quality and functionality in the global market. The study focused on solving specific design issues, such as adhesive infiltration in the joystick button mechanism, which compromised monitor operation. By applying tools such as PDCA, Ishikawa Diagram, Kaizen, and Fuzzy Logic, the research successfully identified and implemented significant improvements, resulting in a drastic reduction in defect rates and production costs.

    Desenvolvimento de um layout de etiquetas seriais para redução de falhas de leitura em códigos de barras

    This work addresses the development of a serial label layout to reduce barcode reading failures in a company in the electronics sector. The barcode is an essential tool for the accuracy and efficiency of production processes. However, the company faces challenges related to reading these labels, leading to interruptions and loss of efficiency. The research proposes solutions to improve the label layout by applying quality tools such as the Ishikawa diagram and the 5 Whys, aiming to eliminate failures and optimize the production process.

    There is currently an important challenge for hospital companies, which is to offer their services with the highest quality to their customers. Therefore, if you guarantee in the market, you have an unknown, to evaluate the quality of services to monitor the quality of service according to the expectations of your customers, thereby creating competitive advantages. In this context, the private hospital in Manaus is with an interest in measuring its quality, placing itself as an object of study, in order to know: the quality of the services offered by the Hospital in the view of the clients, identifying the relevant positive and negative aspects for that the Hospital can act more precisely on the points that allow it to achieve excellence in customer service and acquire more competitiveness. This reality dictates the need to create effective methods to meet the demand for quality in hospital services. In response, the purpose of this study arises to create a quality assessment model using the Fuzzy inference system, based on the studies by Parasuraman, Zeithaml and Berry, in 1994, who developed the SERVQUAL scale, an efficient instrument to assess the quality of services with evaluative diagnosis of quality that are important and followed until today. For this, a model was developed to evaluate the quality of private hospital services in Manaus. The questionnaire was used as data collection techniques, as determined by the SERVQUAL scale, which generated variables that were used for Fuzzy Inference in the Matlab R16 Student software. The results made it possible to evaluate the quality of customer service, which reached an index of 82.7%, thus identifying the level of customer satisfaction, highlighting the negative points, essential information for managers to implement appropriate improvements.
