This research aims to identify how Law students perceive the concept of environment and its relationship with the Law School curriculum. The study analyzed and compared collected data, diagnosing the development of the concept and students' recognition of environmental issues. A qualitative and quantitative case study method was used, applying a closed questionnaire. Results indicate that students recognize the importance of the environment but still show a strong anthropocentric and positivist tendency. The study highlights the need for a more interdisciplinary approach within the curriculumItem Crime Ambiental Praticado por Pessoa Jurídica: Condenação da Empresa A. The Law nr 12.305/2010 represents one of the most relevant Brazilian legislations to emphasize the understanding of shared responsibility, closely related to the concept of reverse logistics of waste. This work broaches the reverse logistics of plastic waste from a small company at the Industrial Center of Manaus (PIM) in order to use recycling as a way to reduce the disposal of plastic waste into the environment.Item Meio Ambiente, Desenvolvimento Sustentável, Ética Ecológica do Cuidado e a Experiência do Centro Universitário Luterano de Manaus(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017) SILENDER, Valdemar; ALVES, Cláudio NahumThe environmental issue presents itself as one of the great challenges of all humanity, also for Higher Education Institutions. The objective of this study is to verify how the environment, sustainable development and ecological ethics of care are being studied in the Lutheran University Center of Manaus, based on the results, adopt institutional measures to maintain or modify current teaching strategies and practices on these subjects. A survey was carried out with 244 academics from the Institute's 11 undergraduate courses, registered in 2016. It was verified that more than 80% answered that subjects such as environment and sustainable development are extremely important for humanity and all professionals, regardless of their area of expertise, should have ethical posture and attitudes towards the environment. However, only 50% see the extreme importance of these topics being worked on in all courses of the Institution. When asked if the research subjects receive due attention in the training of CEULM / ULBRA professionals, only 23.7% gave maximum marks, that is, the absolute majority understands that the Institution does not give due attention to these subjects. Thus, the research reveals that the Institution needs to work more and better on these subjects, both in the Pedagogical Projects of the Courses (PPCs) and in the subjects of the Basic Cycle of General Education, as well as, it needs to offer more experiences in this area through projects, as happened with the Ecological House.Item Análise dos Focos Ativos e Áreas de Desmatamentos na Amazônia Legal no Período de 1999 a 2018(Instituto de Ciências Exatas e Naturais, 2020) NASCIMENTO, Sônia Araújo; SANTOS, Lourivaldo da SilvaThe present study analyzes the series of active fire outbreaks and deforested areas and their comparison between states in the Legal Amazon, from 1999 to 2018. The objective of the research is to analyze the active fire outbreaks and deforested areas of the Legal Amazon, in order to understand their evolution and behavior through space and time. This study addresses descriptive and exploratory data surveys, with bibliographic and documentary research. Data were available on the website of the National Institute of Space Research (INPE). The active fire outbreaks were analyzed monthly, arranged in biennia and annually, and then compared between states. Deforestation was analyzed state by state and between them. One concludes the states of Mato Grosso, Pará and Rondônia to have the highest concentrations of active fire outbreaks. The months with the highest occurrence of fire outbreaks are August-September, months of dry season with little rainfall, except for the state of Roraima, where fire outbreaks occur from November to April, since it lies on the equator. Regarding the deforested areas in the Legal Amazon, it was observed that most states had a reduction in deforestation between 2005 and 2012. It is noteworthy that environmental policies contributed to the reduction through the creation of the National System of Conservation Units (SNUC) and its undertaking itself; this period also coincided with the creation of the Action Plan for the Prevention and Control of Deforestation. However, there was an increasing oscillation from 2012 onwards, and one must point out to there also have been a change in the Forest Code legislation during this same period. The causes of active fire outbreaks and deforested areas are mainly due to human activities, most often related to soil management for large-scale agriculture and cattle raising as well as urban sprawl, in the Legal Amazon.Item A PRÁTICA INTERDISCIPLINAR DOS PROFESSORES DO ENSINO MÉDIO DE CIÊNCIAS DA NATUREZA: ESTUDO DE CASO EM UMA ESCOLA DE TEMPO INTEGRAL.(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019) SILVA, Manuel Arruda; LEITE, Jandercy CabralThis research analyzed the interdisciplinary pedagogical practice of High School Science teachers at the Integral School Prof. Eng. This research addresses the disposal of solid waste in the urban area of the city of Manaus, in view of what environmental law provides on the disposal of solid waste. The methodological nature of this research is exploratory, aiming at the approximation of the theme and seeking greater familiarity with environmental law and access to existing reports in the secretariats of the city of Manaus.
